"Clarifying misconception about
Srimati Radharani and Meera Bai."

Many people, including Bollywood, often romanticize the idea of divine love, most of the time, confusing the transcendental love of Srimati Radharani with the human-like devotion of souls like Meera Bai.

The blunder they do is to place them on equal footing as lovers of Krishna, but this misunderstanding requires deeper clarification.

1. Srimati Radharani's Unique Position:

- Alhadini Shakti:

Srimati Radharani is not just an ordinary devotee—she is the personification of "alhadini shakti", the pleasure potency of Lord Krishna.

This means that her love for Krishna is not merely deep or personal; it is the very source of all divine love.

She embodies the highest, purest form of love for Krishna, making her not only the topmost devotee but also an inseparable part of Krishna himself. Every feeling of devotion we experience, or that exists in this world, is but an expansion of her limitless love for Krishna.

- Radha as the Way to Krishna:

It is said in the scriptures that to truly reach Krishna, one must first approach Srimati Radharani. She is the way to krishna. That's why she is mentioned first, as in "Radha-Krishna" or "Radha-Govinda".

Her name always comes first because without her mercy, devotion to Krishna is impossible. Her position is supreme and indispensable for spiritual progress.


2. Meera Bai's Devotion:

- Jiva and Devotee: Now, let's look at Meera Bai. She is widely revered for her unwavering inspirational devotion and surrender to Krishna, and rightly so. But we must remember, she is a "jiva"—a finite soul. Meera Bai, despite her greatness, is among many who have attained Krishna’s mercy. Her love for Krishna is exceptional, no doubt, but it is still a drop compared to the oceanic love of Srimati Radharani.And her love will cease to exist without the Mercy of Srimati Radharani.

- Pebble from the Mountain:

To put this in perspective, think of Radharani’s love as a mountain, and Meera Bai’s love as a few small pebbles taken from that vast mountain.

There is immense difference between the divine love that Radharani personifies and the personal, yet limited, devotion of even the greatest devotees like Meera Bai.

3. Clarifying Misconceptions:

Meera Bai’s devotion has inspired millions, but equating her love to that of Srimati Radharani’s eternal, divine position is a serious misconception.

Srimati Radharani is not only the greatest devotee of Krishna; she is the very embodiment of his love and the source of all devotion.

Meera Bai, on the other hand, is a beloved devotee who received just a small share of Radharani’s limitless love.
