We are very happy to inform that 15 monks will reside, practise, and teach the Dhamma at the Mahabodhi Ashoka Dhammadhuta Buddhist Society, Buddha Vihara, KGF. However we need your support.

31 May 2026 | KGF Mahabodhi Ashoka Dhamma Dhuta Buddhist Society

On this sacred Full Moon (Poornima) Day, the second Poornima of the month, revered in many parts of the world as the Thrice Blessed Day of the Buddha, we were deeply fortunate to witness a meaningful and auspicious occasion at the KGF Mahabodhi Ashoka Dhamma Dhuta Buddhist Society.

With the blessings of the Triple Gem and the revered Venerable Dr. Acharya Buddharakkhita Mahathera, and under the compassionate guidance of Kassapa Mahathera, President and Chief Abbot of Mahabodhi Bengaluru, the foundation stone for the Lord Buddha Statue was ceremonially laid, and the Community Dhamma Hall and Sanghārāma (Monastery) were inaugurated in the presence of the Mahabodhi Maha Sangha, respected dignitaries, devotees, and well-wishers.

The gathering was further blessed with the chanting of sacred Paritta Suttas, filling the atmosphere with thoughts of peace, compassion, harmony, and loving-kindness for the Mahabodhi campus and for all beings everywhere.

This humble yet significant undertaking stands as a reflection of the Three Jewels—Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha—which continue to inspire countless people on the path of wisdom, compassion, and inner peace.

May the merits (puñña) accrued through this wholesome deed be shared with all beings. May all be free from suffering and its causes. May all be happy, healthy, peaceful, and well.

Namobuddhaya 🙏

Today, with deep devotion and unity, we successfully celebrated the 2570th Sacred Buddha Jayanti – 2026 at the Mahabodhi Asoka Dhamma Dutha Buddhist Society, KGF.
The day unfolded with great spiritual energy and community participation.

The programme began in the morning with Buddhist Flag Hoisting, followed by a serene Bodhi Puja, creating a peaceful and sacred atmosphere. Devotees then gathered for Puja, Meditation, and Dhamma Talks, allowing everyone to reflect on the teachings of the Blessed One.

A highlight of the day was the Peace Procession from Buddha Vihara to Taluk Office, KGF, symbolizing harmony, unity, and the spreading of Dhamma in society.

In the afternoon, we carried out a meaningful act of compassion through Hospital Dana Service at General Hospital, KGF, distributing fruits and juice to patients—sharing kindness in action.

The evening programme was equally inspiring. It included Puja, Meditation, and a Dhamma Discourse by Ven. Jinavamsa Bhanteji, who beautifully explained the life of the Buddha and His timeless teachings. The session deeply touched the hearts of all attendees.
The celebration concluded with Metta Sharing, spreading loving-kindness to all beings.

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti – 14 April

14th April marks the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar, a great leader, social reformer, and the chief architect of the Indian Constitution. He dedicated his life to fighting against inequality, caste discrimination, and injustice.

Dr. Ambedkar believed in education, equality, and self-respect. His message was simple but powerful: “Educate, Agitate, Organize.” He worked tirelessly to build a society where everyone is treated with dignity and fairness.

🌕 Dhammapada Utsav & Full Moon Day Celebration – 🌕

On the sacred occasion of the 104th Birth Anniversary of Parama Poojya Acharya Buddharakkhita Mahathera, Founder of Mahabodhi Organizations, the Dhammapada Utsav and Full Moon Day Celebration were successfully held on 3rd March 2026 at 6:00 pm at Maha Bodhi KGF.

The programme began with Buddha Puja, Tisarana and Panchasila, followed by meditation and very inspiring Dhamma talk by Ven. Jinavamsa Bhanteji, who explained deeply about the importance of the mind and the cultivation of virtues. His teaching encouraged all devotees to strengthen their practice and live according to Dhamma.

We were honoured by the gracious presence of the Superintendent of Police, K.G.F., Shri Shivanshu Rajput, IPS, who attended as the Chief Guest. The society respectfully honoured him during the programme.

The Dāna was generously sponsored by Smt. V. Mukthamba & Sons, and we express our heartfelt gratitude for their generous support.

Special thanks to Dr. Poorneson for conducting the programme smoothly and successfully. We also sincerely thank Prabu Ram upasakaji and Pratap upasakaji for organizing the event with dedication and commitment.
