The Parishioners contributed materials and labour for building the western European Palarivattom Saint John The Baptist Parish of Verapoly Archdiocese, Ernakulam, Kerala has a long and rich heritage. The Parishioners contributed materials and labour for building the western European gothic architecture based Parish Church. The Parish, over the years, grown in leaps and bounds, along with th

e City of Kochi. In 1983, beautifully carved new Parish Church was built, with a view to provide adequate facilities to its ever growing Parishioners. Apart from the Parish Church, there are 2 sub-stations, one Monastery, 5 cappalas,
2 Convents, one high school and one lower primary school. Presently, there are 2000 Parish families of 10000 Parishioners, with 78 Basic Christian Communities(BCC). Fr. Joji Kuthukatt , Parish Priest provide Catholic spiritual support and work for the socio- economic progress of the Parishioners. The two Assistant Priests, nuns and various Parish Organisations support the Parish Priest in his endeavour. We thank , Lord, for graces bestowed on the Parishioners. We also thank the priests and nuns who served the Parish in the past and our forefathers for their contributions; the fruits we enjoy today.
