Ghosh's Kali Mandir

Ghosh's Kali Mandir Built by the Ghosh Family, the temple has remained a cornerstone of devotion across generations.

Established in 1842, Ghosh’s Kali Mandir is a 184-year-old heritage temple in Khejuri, West Bengal, preserved by the Ghosh Family, a living legacy of faith, devotion, and Maa Kali’s eternal grace. Founded in 1842, Ghosh’s Kali Mandir is one of East Midnapore's oldest family temples, a sacred space where faith and heritage have walked hand in hand for over 183 years. The rituals, the chants, the fr

agrance of incense, and the glow of countless diyas continue to echo the same reverence that began nearly two centuries ago. Every year, during Kali Pujo, this ancestral temple transforms into a gathering of hearts, of family, friends, and well-wishers who come together to honour Maa Kali, the embodiment of power, protection, and renewal. In every act of worship and every offering made, lies a deep connection to tradition, reminding us that heritage is not merely preserved in stone, but in spirit.

As 108 flames lit up the courtyard of Ghosh’s Kali Mandir, Khejuri, devotion filled the air. The sacred Arati, performed amidst chants, conch shells, and divine energy, marked the 184th year of this timeless tradition carried forward by the Ghosh Family since 1842.

Every diya symbolized a prayer, every glow reflected a blessing, and every heartbeat echoed the spirit of faith that has lived here for generations.

Here’s a glimpse of that divine moment, the 108 Pradip & Arati from our 184th year of Kali Pujo. May Maa Kali’s light guide every heart with courage, peace, and protection.

Another year, another chapter in a journey that began 184 years ago.

As the chants echoed through the night and the temple courtyard lit up with devotion, Ghosh’s Kali Mandir, Khejuri, stood as it always has, a place where faith and heritage meet.

This year’s Kali Pujo was not just a celebration; it was a reminder of how deeply tradition binds generations together. The same prayers offered by our ancestors in 1842 still find voice in our hearts today. Each diya lit, each offering made, and each smile shared carried forward a legacy of devotion that time has only strengthened.

Sharing glimpses from our 184th year of worship, moments of reverence, joy, and togetherness. May Maa Kali’s blessings continue to illuminate every home with courage, peace, and protection.

🪔 With gratitude and blessings,

Since 1842, the Ghosh Family has been privileged to uphold a tradition that transcends generations, the sacred worship of Maa Kali at Ghosh’s Kali Mandir. What began nearly two centuries ago as an intimate family pujo has, over time, become a cherished community celebration, one that binds us through faith, memory, and shared devotion.

As the holy night of Kali Pujo approaches on 20th October 2025, our doors and our hearts open once again. We welcome every friend, neighbour, and well-wisher to be part of this annual homecoming of the divine. Each year, as we light the lamps, decorate the courtyard, and offer our prayers before the goddess, we are reminded that some traditions don’t just survive, they inspire.

In a world that moves fast, Ghosh’s Kali Mandir stands still in its purpose, to nurture faith, preserve culture, and celebrate the eternal power of Maa. Her blessings continue to guide our family, and through this post, we extend those blessings to you and your loved ones.

May Maa Kali protect every household, strengthen every heart, and bless every new beginning with courage and light.

With warm regards,
The Ghosh Family
