We have received a human body, which is very rare, and now it is easy for us to do bhajana. However, we can see that other living entities do not create weapons of mass destruction, so many arrangements to maintain their lifestyle. If anything happens they will quarrel with each other by their claws and teeth, but at the next moment they forget their quarrelling. But we humans take revenge, and we become more ferocious than the tigers, bears, lions, and other wild animals. Nowhere in the world do we see problems in other living entities. Only humans have problems.

How can we become calm and quiet and peaceful with each other?

It is possible only if we do bhajana. So, nr-deham adyam su-labham su-durlabham, plavam su-kalpam guru-karnadharam.

This human body is like a boat going from one place to another, in one direction or another. A captain is needed for the boat. Who is that captain? The bona fide guru is the captain of this boat – this human body. We are situated by the ocean in Hawaii. We see every day there are some boats floating on the Pacific Ocean. These boats have sails, and when the sails catch the wind, the boats move very fast. In the same way, sadhu-sanga is the favorable wind. By sadhu-sanga we can advance very quickly in Krsna consciousness. Then our lives will be maintained very easily, and we can be calm and quiet and in harmony with each other. Then our celebration here will be successful.

Generally, people understand the meaning of happiness in terms of the body and mind, health and money, and good sons and daughters. They consider that if they have these, they will be happy. But everyone becomes unhappy in spite of having these things. For a long time – since the creation of this world – we have been coming and going, taking birth and dying, but still we are not happy.

We have forgotten Krsna. We are part and parcel of Krsna, and we have forgotten Him. That is why His illusory maya took us and threw us into this world, and covered our constitutional body, form, and qualities with two bodies – the physical body and the subtle body.

We are trying so hard, here and there, to be happy, but really everyone is unhappy. Only a truly qualified guru can teach us by what process Krsna's service can be achieved. Then, by practice and maturity of bhakti-sadhana, we will become happy.

My blessing is that I am praying to Krsna that He will sprinkle His mercy upon you all, so that you will be happy in every way – by body, mind, and soul.

🎄✨ Christmas Blessings ✨🎄

Human life is a precious gift. True happiness is not found in wealth or possessions, but in cultivating pure devotion to the Lord and living with love, purpose, and compassion for all.

🦚The value of human life
Human life is rare and precious, meant for self-realization, not just survival or enjoyment.

🦚Material wealth does not bring lasting happiness
Even extreme wealth cannot give real satisfaction or freedom from suffering.

🦚Over-attachment to money is a distraction
Constantly focusing on earning and accumulating wealth can cause one to miss life’s deeper purpose.

🦚Bhakti as a simple and effective path
Bhakti (devotional service) is presented as an accessible and practical method for everyone.

🦚True happiness comes from spiritual engagement
By engaging in bhakti, one becomes free from miseries and experiences lasting happiness.

Srila Gurudeva: My request is that you do not waste this human life. Do not be constantly engaged in money-making. Even if you become wealthier than Bill Gates, you still cannot be truly happy. Therefore, try to engage in this very easy method of bhakti. Then you will be liberated from all miseries, and you will be happy forever.

Today is Christmas Day, the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. On this sacred day, we offer our honor and respect to him.

Today, on the birthday of Jesus, we are giving honor to him. He was a manifestation of God called saktyavesa-avatara. God has empowered him, and that is why he was able to preach everywhere.

Krsna is very merciful – very, very merciful. He is so beautiful, His qualities are transcendental, and the song of His flute is so sweet that it attracts everyone. We have forgotten Him. We are His part and parcel; that is, we are His servants or maidservants, whether we accept this or not. We have forgotten Him, and that is why maya (the Lord’s material, deluding potency) has taken us to this world.

No one can be happy in this world, which is like a prison. Sri Krsna’s deluding potency maya keeps those who have forgotten Him in this jail, and anyone who wants happiness here is a foolish person. No one can be happy in jail. Only the watchmen – police of the jail – can be happy, and they are devotees. Only devotees can be happy in this world.

Sri Krsna has mercifully given this human body, which is very strong, like a boat. He has placed a captain in this boat, and that captain is Sri Gurudeva. The favorable winds are blowing very fast, and these winds are sadhu-sanga, the association of devotees. For example, while you remained in your homes, we came from India.

One of Gods messengers was Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja. Srila Swami Maharaja went door to door, to islands in the midst of oceans, on the top of hills, and in the depths of forests. He went everywhere and preached. How merciful are Krsna and His associates!

Having all these facilities, if you do not take the opportunity to realize your self, to realize that you are soul and that the Supersoul, Krsna is present with you, then you are committing spiritual su***de.

So don’t waste a minute’s time without worshipping Krsna. The money, houses, dogs, cats, cars, and so many other things you are collecting cannot give you any help at the time of death. You will have to go alone, and where you will go, you don’t know. So don’t waste time. All facility is available, so you are very fortunate. The only aim and object of this life should be this: ‘Realization of my self and Krsna, and performance of pure bhakti.’

Krsna is causelessly merciful. He has all powers, and He has invested all His powers and qualities in harinama (His holy names):

Hare Krsna Hare Krsna
Krsna Krsna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare

Krsna’s names are more powerful than Krsna Himself. These names can stop your pain of endless birth and death, and they can give you love for Krsna. You should chant and remember the sweet pastimes of Krsna with great honor and strong belief.

Krsna lives in Goloka Vrndavana with His associates – Nanda Baba, Mother Yasoda, Sridama, Subal, Madhumangala, and the gopis, including Srimati Radhika. He always plays there. He thinks, “My servants and maidservants have forgotten Me.” In order to deliver them, He therefore descends with all of His associates in this material world and performs so many sweet pastimes here. He is unlimited, He is beyond the limitation of length and breadth, inside or outside; He is everywhere.

All worlds are within His belly, and yet Mother Yasoda binds Him with the silken rope which holds her hair in a braid. He kindly picked up the great mountain Govardhana and held it for seven days on His left pinky. At that time He told all the Vrajavasis, “Come under Govardhana. I will save you from the rains arranged by Indra.”

In Vrndavana He killed so many demons, like Aghasura and Bakasura. He killed Kamsa, who was as strong as 10,000 elephants. He also killed so many demons in Dvaraka, through Bhima and Arjuna; He killed so many in the Mahabharata War, such as Dronacarya and Bhisma. All the warriors had unparalleled immense strength, but they were all killed by Krsna. Paundraka Vasudeva, Sisupala, Kalayavana, and so many other demons were also killed by Him.

At the end of His manifest pastimes, He took with Him His associates from Dvaraka as they were in the guise of their fighting and killing each other. Thus He removed the burden of the Earth, and then ascended with His eternal associates to His Goloka Vrndavana. He performed such sweet pastimes. How merciful He is!

He came as Lord Ramacandra, with Sita, Laksmana, Bharata, Sratrugna, and Hanuman, and in that form He performed very pathetic, heart-rending pastimes. Ravana kidnapped Sita-devi, and Hanuman discovered where She was. With the help of monkeys and bears Ramacandra built a bridge over the ocean, and He killed Ravana and Ravana’s entire army. Sita is Rama’s eternal spiritual energy, but He sent Her away. This is a very sad pastime, so why did He do this? He thought: People will hear or read My pastimes and engage in bhakti (devotional service) to Me. Bhakti is so powerful that it is able to take out all the malice and manifest pure love in their heart. They will be liberated, they will join Me in My service and become happy.

Bhakti is a very easy method to reach God.

If you cannot pray, then simply offering respectful obeisances will do. If you sing God’s names and dance, or even chant loudly while walking, or even if you chant softly in the mind, or even if you name your dog or cat or cow Narayana, Krsna, or any of Gods names, you will be liberated at once, like Ajamila.

My request is that you should not waste this human life. Don’t be always engaged in money-making. Even if you become more wealthy than Bill Gates, still, you cannot be happy. So try to engage in this very easy method of bhakti. Then you will be liberated from all miseries, and you will be happy forever.

From Śrī Madhvā (PureBhakti) — “Selected quotes in glorification”

“In the beginning of creation Śrī Kṛṣṇa spoke the science of devotional service to Lord Brahmā. He in turn passed these teachings on to Śrī Nārada Muni, who accepted Śrī Kṛṣṇa Dvaipāyana Vyāsadeva as his disciple. Śrī Vyāsa transmitted this knowledge to Śrī Madhvācārya, who is also known as Purṇaprajña Tīrtha and who is the sole refuge for his disciple Śrī Padmanābha Tīrtha.”
—Jagad-Guru Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī Prabhupāda

“Śrīla Madhvācārya is the original ācārya for those who belong to the Madhva-Gauḍīya-sampradāya.” (Srimad Bhagavatam, 6.1.40.purport)
—Tridaṇḍi Svāmī Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Svāmī Mahārāja

“Śrī Madhvācārya was a direct disciple of Vyāsadeva. When Madhvācārya was living, about 4,000 years had passed since Vyāsa disappeared from this world. However, Madhvācārya knew that Vyāsadeva was still alive and that he is eternal. So he prayed to him in Badrikāśrama, beseeching him, ‘I want to take your darśana and to be initiated by you.’ And when he was praying, at once Vyāsadeva personally came there, and Madhvācārya presented his wish to him that he should grant him initiation. And then after that Vyāsa disappeared.”
—Tridaṇḍi Svāmī Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja

“This Madhva-Gauḍīya-sampradāya is also known as the Brahma-sampradāya because the disciplic succession originally began from Brahmā. Brahmā instructed the sage Nārada, Nārada instructed Vyāsadeva, and Vyāsadeva instructed Madhva Muni, or Madhvācārya.”
—Kṛṣṇa Book, Introduction

“After Rāmānuja came Madhvācārya. He established a certain portion of the Vedas, and his philosophy is called viśuddhādvaita or dvaitādvaita-vāda. In this philosophical understanding there are five differences. You should explain the five differences.”
—Tridaṇḍi Svāmī Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja

“His practice was bhakti and his aim and object was the service of the Supreme Lord in the form of Vāsudeva. Which Vāsudeva? He who has a churning rod in His hand. This form was also accepted by Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.”
—Tridaṇḍi Svāmī Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja

“Madhvācārya established the philosophy that there is a difference between Brahman and Māyā, there is a difference between jīva and Māyā, there is difference between jīva and jīva, and between different manifestations of Māyā there are also differences. These five types of differences are called dvaita-vāda.”

🌼 Śrīla Bhaktisvarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī Mahārāja ~ Disappearance day

On this Vijaya-daśamī tithi, Śrī Rāmacandra began His journey to Laṅkā to rescue Sītā Devi. They took these nine days to organise how to get the army together and attack Lanka.
—Tridaṇḍi Svāmī Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Mahārāja

Today also marks the divine appearance day of Śrī Madhvācārya, the revered sampradāya-ācārya of our Brahma-Madhva-Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava tradition. Śrī Madhvācārya is celebrated as an incarnation of Vāyu, having previously appeared as Hanumān and Bhīma and thus he was endowed with immense spiritual strength and power.

Today is also the disappearance day of Śrīla Bhaktisvarūpa Dāmodara Gosvāmī Mahārāja, one of the prominent disciples of Śrīla A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Mahārāja. From his very household life, he exhibited the qualities of a true Vaiṣṇava. Just as I have witnessed in Śrīpāda Gour Govinda Mahārāja, he too embodied pure devotion. Such exalted souls are genuine Vaiṣṇavas, for they faithfully lived by the instructions of their spiritual master in the truest sense.

Today, 25th September 2025
The divine appearance day of Tridandi Swami Srimad Bhakti Promode Puri Gosvami Maharaja

Tridandi Swami Srimad Bhakti Promode Puri Gosvami Maharaja appeared on October 8, 1898 during the auspicious hour of brahma-muhurta. Along with the study of Sanskrit, Promode Bhusan was engaged in worshipping family Deities of Sri Sri Radha Gopinath.

His reverent service mood was evident even as a young man. Once he forgot to cover the Lord with a blanket on a winter night. That night he shivered uncontrollably with chills and fever. The Lord appeared in a dream and showed him that he was without his blanket. The young Promode Bhusan woke up and only after he covered the Lord did the fever subside.

Promode Bhusan completed his education in Jessore then went to Calcutta where he attended Bangabasi College, graduating with honors in Chemistry. In 1917, he met his Guru, Prabhupada Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur. From the first meeting, an eternal bond was made. Sri Promode Bhusan accepted Prabhupada in his heart as his eternal master.
His strong attachment to spiritual life brought him regularly to his Guru's lectures at the Calcutta ashram of Sri Gaudiya Math. In 1923, on the holy occasion of Sri Krishna Janmastami, he surrendered at his Guru's lotus feet and simultaneously took Harinama and Brahmin initiations. He became known as Sri Pranabananda Brahmachary--a full-fledged member of Sri Gaudiya Matha.

Sri Pranabananda's service attitude was so exemplary that soon Prabhupada Srila Saraswati Thakur established him as the editor of Gaudiya Matha publications. Pranabananda Brahmachary synopsized Srila Saraswati Thakur's lectures, elaborated on them, and with Prabhupada's approval, they were published in various periodicals including the only daily spiritual newspaper, Dainik Nadia Prakash.

In recognition of his scholarship, Saraswati Thakur honored him with the title, Sri Pranabananda Brahmachary Mahopadeshak Pratna Vidyalankar.

Srila Puri Maharaja served in close association with his Guru for thirteen years. Srila Prabhupada requested that Sri Pranabananda Brahmachary accept Tridandi sannyasa. Humbly considering himself unfit, he declined.

At the time of Prabhupada's aprakatalila, Sri Pranabananda Brahmachary held his guru's lotus-feet to his chest so that they might remain forever enthroned in his heart. After Srila Prabhupada's disappearance Sri Pranabananda Brahmachary Mahopadeshak Pratna Vidyalankar began extensive traveling and preaching.
In 1942 Srila Prabhupada Saraswati Thakur appeared in a dream and gave his divine order that Sri Pranabananda accept Tridandi sannyasa. Sannyasa initiation and the danda were given by his Godbrother Srila Bhakti Gourava Vaikhanasa Maharaja in Champahati Sri Sri Gaura-Gadadhara temple.

For more than seven years, Tridandi Swami Bhakti Promode Puri Gosvami Maharaja served as the head pujari and temple president of Sri Sri Yogapith, the birth place of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, discovered by Srila Bhakti Vinode Thakur. During that time, the Deities were internally urging him to take up scriptural research and deeper meditation.

He moved to a humble cottage on the banks of the Ganga in Kalna, living with his beloved Deities Sri Sri Radha Gopinath. During that time, the Kind of Burdwan (a district of West Bengal) was extremely impressed with his saintly character and on the appearance day of Sri Radhika, 1958, he offered his large temple to Srila Puri Maharaja. He engaged in service at that temple for several years.

Later, his Godbrother, Srila Bhakti Dayita Madhab Gosvami Maharaja, requested that Gurumaharaj come to his Matha to edit spiritual periodicals and books. Gurumaharaja entrusted the temple in Kalna to his younger brother and went to Calcutta to take up his new service. Additionally, His Holiness Om Visnupada Tridandi Swami Sri Bhakti Dayita Gosvami Maharaja requested that he take full charge of his monthly magazine, Sri Chaitanya Vani, as president of the editorial board. He also became editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine Sri Gaudiya published from Sri Chaitanya Math, Mayapur. At the age of 100, Srila Puri Maharaja continues to fulfill this role with great care and devotion.

Presently, Gurumaharaj is the senior most living disciple of Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur. Additionally, he was the lifelong, intimate associate of His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Raksaka Sridara Dev Gosvami Maharaja, who he considered the benign guardian of the celestial wealth of Srila Rupa Gosvami.

Srila Puri Maharaja was well known as the best kirtana leader in the early days of Sri Gaudiya Math and often sang on radio programs. He is well known for his extensive knowledge and meticulous practice of deity worship and installation. His service to Srila Saraswati Thakur installing deities in new temples made him known as Pujapada.

In addition to his high position and qualifications, many are attracted to Tridandi Swami B. P. Puri Gosvami Maharaja's divine personality. He emanates sweetness and love. He is seen as our well-wishing guide to the spiritual domain. The opening of the Gopinath Gaudiya Matha, during the 1989 Gour Purnima Tithi, provided a doorway to that spiritual domain.

Our humble prayer is that we may always be situated at his holy lotus feet which are our only access to the predecessor Acaryas and their divine teachings. We pray that we may be engaged in the eternal service of Sri Guru and Gauranga and Sri Sri Radha Gopinath under the divine direction of Srila Bhakti Promode Puri Gosvami Maharaja.
