Shivanada Temple, Kareelakulangara A famous Shiva temple in Pathiyoor Village, Alappuzha District, Kerala, India. And also known as "Sree Kailasapuram Shiva Kshethram".

The temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, is considered as the city temple, with the presiding deity as the protector of the city, as per local Hindu faiths and traditions. This temple is located at Kareelakulangara. National Highway NH47 passes through this junction .It is situated 5 km away from Kayamkulam town towards Eranakulam and 9 km away from Harippad town towards Thiruvananthapuram. In this te

mple celebrates Maha Shivratri. it's a Hindu festival celebrated every year in reverence of Lord Shiva. It is also known as padmarajarathri. Alternate common spellings include Sivaratri, Shivaratri, Sivarathri, and Shivaratri. It is celebrated every year on the 13th night/14th day of the Maagha month of the Hindu calendar.
