In April 1994, Sahastra Kumbhabhishekha Was Moderated By Shri Sudheendra Teertha Swami Of Kashi Math. Mukhyaprana:In 1876, Majooru Shri Venkatesha Bhat Submitted His Family Deity Mukhyaprana (Hanuman) To The Temple Along With Generous Property Donations. Hanuman Here Is Said To Be Karnik Means He Fulfils The Wishes Of All The Devotees. Kaapu Maariyamma: She Is The Local Deity, One Of The Distinct Deities Of Tulunadu- She Is The Protector Of Kaapu. Traditionally She Was Worshipped By Locals Of Other Caste But After The Seige Of Tipu Sultan Her Worship Came To A Halt. She Reappeared In A Spot Called Pallipadappu That Was Under The Administration Of The Ballals Who Handed Her Over To The GSBs. In The Temple Maariyamma Is Not Worshipped By The Traditional Idol Worship Method. Instead A Unique Ritual Called Gaddugepooje Is Performed. A Temporary Statue Of The Goddess Is Made Out Of The Hongaraka Tree With Special Rituals. The Statue Is Immersed In Water After Worship. She Is Not Regularly Worshipped Except During
