A Sacred Procession of the Holy Statue of Gyalwa Gotsangpa

Today, the sacred statue of the great yogi Gyalwa Gotsangpa was carried forth in a deeply solemn and radiant procession.
Led with profound reverence by Gyalwa Dokhampa and Kyabje Khamtak Rinpoche, the holy statue moved slowly towards the prayer site, accompanied by the soft rhythm of footsteps, the fragrance of incense, and the quiet power of accumulated blessings.

This was no ordinary moment — it was a living expression of pure devotion, an auspicious gathering of body, speech, and mind in which the blessings of the lineage flowed freely. Every step of the procession carried the aspiration for the well-being of all beings, transforming the path itself into a sacred mandala of faith, connection, and spiritual grace.

May the merit of this holy procession ripple outward, touching hearts near and far with the light and blessings of Gyalwa Gotsangpa’s realization.

Today, the dedicated Drukpa nuns from Druk Odsal Chosling Nunnery in Tia Village, Ladakh, join the Garsha Eco Pad Yatra — a sacred journey of footsteps for climate action and the living heritage of the Himalayas.

Rooted in the ancient Drukpa tradition and guided by Drukpa masters, this pad yatra brings together monastics, local communities, and participants from across the region to walk through the sacred valley of Garsha (Khandroling – the Land of Dakinis). Along the way they collect plastic waste, raise awareness about melting glaciers and fragile mountain ecosystems, and reconnect with over 2,000 years of Buddhist heritage.

May the footsteps inspire everyone to protect our shared home.

After lunch today, a closing ceremony was held at songtsen library. We would like to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to Gen Gyalson and Mr Pema Dorjey for their unwavering support from the very beginning.
Following the ceremony, everyone departed to their respective destinations.
