Jerusalem Marthoma Church,Koothrappally founded in the year 1911 under Marthoma Syrian Church of Malabar. Before 1911,the members of this church was dissolved in Thottakad Thabor Marthoma Church after the splits among Syrian Christians.Due to difficulties in traveling from Karukachal to Thottakad,leads to new parish at Koothrappally on 1911.
