Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust Imam Khomieni Memorial Trust, Kargil is a socio-religious organisation in Kargil, Jammu and Kashmir rendering services in the Ladakh region.

It is widely known reality that the identity of Islam and Muslim had been distorted and defaced with organized conspiracy and negative propagation by the opportunists particularly the West. The success of Islamic Revolution in Iran under the dynamic lea

dership of Imam Khomeini (RA) not only brought down the whole global false conception but also kindled a light of new hope and awakening among the oppressed and the Islamic Ummah. The late Imam Khomeini (RA) restored the lost glory of Islam and Muslims with dignity. Kargil District despite of its far off location was greatly influenced by these developments in Iran. The hitherto skepticism existing in the mindset of the people was removed and visible change occurred in consequence of the same. Education, particularly the girl's education got special thrust and emphasis. People became vigilant to social and political developments around them both locally and globally. To pay collective tribute to the Late Imam Khomeini (RA), to keep the guiding principles and values based on Islamic teachings and the vision set by him alive, it was felt that a befitting organ should be set up at Kargil. Consequently an organization with the name and style of "Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust, Kargil" was brought into existence by the youths of Kargil under the guidance of a visionary clergymen Sheikh Mohammad Hussain Zakiri. This organization from the day of its inception has introduced some bold reforms in socio-religious spheres and set some objectives and goals in this regard. It has achieved some remarkable achievements and milestones in the field of education (both traditional and theological). Set goals were achieved in health sector and education/awakening of women community in addition to other welfare activities. All endeavour and efforts of Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust shall be to make Kargil an exemplary district in all spheres of life.
