Khadija Beevi (R)
Continuation (Part 2)
Khadija(R)was the daughter of Khuwaylid and Fatima from the noble Quraysh family. She was raised as a highly respected and honorable woman. From a young age, she showed a sincere concern for relieving the hardships of people, and her compassion was pure and sincere.
She initially began engaging in trade alongside her father. Later, she took full responsibility for the business herself and managed it successfully. Through this trade, she became one of the most prominent and wealthy figures in Makkah.
Khadija (R)was first married to Abu Hala. After his death (from this marriage she had two children), she married Atiq ibn Abid, and from this marriage she had one child. After the death of her second husband, many people sought to marry Khadija, as she was both a wealthy and beautiful woman of Makkah. However, being deeply devoted to her trade and responsibilities, she declined all such proposals.
Her method of conducting trade was to send trustworthy men on trading journeys to distant lands from Makkah. Her servant Maisarah would accompany them. If any dishonesty or irregularity occurred in the trade, it was his duty to inform Khadija(R). He fulfilled this responsibility faithfully and efficiently.
To be continued, In sha’ Allah…
Allah knows best.
