Galteshwar, situated on the confluence of the Tapi Rivers hosts a Shiva temple from the era. About 15 km from the temple town of Kamrej, the place is declared as ancient and cultural heritage site by the ASI. Thus, elevating Galteshwar as a picnic cm pilgrimage destination near Galteshwar Mahadev Mandir,Timba ,Ta-Kamrej, Dist-Surat.

રાવણ માસનાં પ્રારંભથી જ દેવાધિદેવ મહાદેવનાં આસ્થા અને શ્રદ્ધાના પ્રતીક સમાન ૪૦૦ વર્ષ જૂના ઐતિહાસિક કામરેજ તાલુકાના ટીંબા ગામે તાપી નદીનાં કાંઠે આવેલા અતિ પૌરાણિક ગલતેશ્વર મહાદેવ મંદિર શિવ ભક્તો માટે શ્રદ્ધારૂપી આકર્ષણનું કેન્દ્ર બન્યું છે. મહારાષ્ટ્રના નાસિક ખાતે આવેલ ત્ર્યંબકેશ્વર તીર્થધામ જેટલું મહાત્મ્ય ધરાવતા ગલતેશ્વર મંદિરનો તાપી પુરાણમાં પણ ઉલ્લેખ હોવાનું કહેવાય છે.
