The Biblical Greek word for church is "ecclesia," which means "the called out." We have been called out from spiritual error, atheism and agnosticism--into a meaningful, vibrant relationship with God. The church of Christ has been and continues to be a beacon of light in this community. In addition, she has been instrumental in carrying the gospel directly and indirectly throughout the world. As a
New Testament church, our mission has not changed and like the early church founded in the scriptures, we preach and teach the good news of Jesus Christ. Because of hearing the Word of God, many are responding in repentance and immersion for the forgiveness of sin and the gift of the Holy Spirit. For this reason we thank God and pray that may more souls will come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. It is with great anticipation that we await our Lord’s return, but until that time comes, let the people of the Lord remain faithful and committed to serving in His church and laboring in His fields. May God continue to bless this body of believers and may we press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us heavenward in Christ Jesus. Congregations now reflect the diversity of the cities, towns, villages and even in the habitations where we have planted churches. People of all races, ages, and cultures weekly attend worship services. Our goal has been to plant a church in every village, habitation of at least 20,000 people by the end of the year 2020. In the early part of the new millennium, churches will continue to be planted in the remaining smaller villages or habitations.
