The Sundarban Seventh-day Adventist Widow Ministry is working to provide a safe and dignified home for vulnerable widows in the Sundarban region of West Bengal, India. Many of these widowed mothers face severe hardships, including:
Being forced out of their homes due to family conflicts
Lack of daily food
No access to medical care
Living without safety or stability
Our vision is to build a secure home where these women can live peacefully, receive care, and worship God freely.
Why This Is Important
The Sundarban area is predominantly Hindu and Muslim, making it extremely challenging to share the message of Jesus. By providing shelter and care, we are giving these widows hope, dignity, and an opportunity to experience the love of Christ.
A Need for a Place of Worship
There are also small groups in the areaâmany from Hindu, Catholic, and other backgroundsâwho have accepted the Sabbath truth. However, they do not have a church building where they can gather for worship. With your support, we hope to build a simple church where believers can worship together on the Sabbath.
