ഏകദേശം 45 വർഷം മുൻബ് ചളിങ്ങാട് നിവാസികൾക്കു ഒരു പള്ളി പണിയുവാൻ ചളിങ്ങാട്ടിലെ കരാണനവർ കാക്കനട്ട് ഐശുമ്മ എന്ന മഹതിയെ പോയ് കണ്ടു സ്ഥലം ആവശയ്യപ്പെടുകയ്യും ചെയ് തു . പ്പള്ളിക്കു വേണ്ടി ബഹുമാന പ്പെട്ടവർ ഭൂമി വഖ്ഫ് ചെയ് തു തരികയും ചെയ് തു. പ്രസ്തുദ സ്ഥലത്തു നാട്ടുകരുടെ ശ്രമത്തിന്റ് ഫലമായി ഒരു ചെറിയ നിസ് കാരാത്തട്ട് ഉണ്ടക്കുകയും ചെയ് തു . കാക്കനട്ട് ഐശുമ്മ എന്ന മഹതി ഭൂമി വഖ്ഫ് ചെയ് ത് പുഴങ്കരയില്ലത് അബ്ദുൽ കാദർ എന്നവരെ ഏൽ പിച്ചു. തോട്ടുപറബത്ത് ബിരവു,കാദർ കുട്ടി മാസ്സ്റെർ, ഇല്ലത്തുപറബിൽ കാദർ , താനത്ത് പറബിൽ അബ്ദുൽ കാദർ, പുതിയവീട്ടിൽ അമ്മുഞി,കറപ്പംവീട്ടിൽ അബ്ദുൽ റഹ് മാൻ,പുതിയവീട്ടിൽ കുഞ്ഞി മരക്കാർ എന്നിവർ അടങ്ങിയ കമമിറ്റി നിലവിൽ വന്നു. തുടർന്നുള്ള പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾക്ക് കാദർ കുട്ടി മാസ്സ്റെയും,അമ്മുഞ്ഞിസാഹിബിനെയും ചുമതലപ്പെടുത്തി. പള്ളിക്ക് തറക്കല്ലിട്ടത് സ്രാംബിയക്കൽ കൊച്ചു കോയത്തങ്ങൾ ആയിരിന്നു. ആദ്യത്തെ കമ്മറ്റിയുടെ പ്രസിഡൻഡ് ഇല്ലത്ത് പറബിൽ അബ്ദുൽ കാദർ സാഹിബ് ആയിരുന്നു, സെക്രട്ടറി പോക്കാക്കില്ലത്ത് കുഞ്ഞബു എന്നിവർ അടങ്ങിയ കമ്മറ്റി നിലവവിൽ വന്നു. The Chalingad Mahallu is situated in east side of Kaipamangalam panchayath village covering the ward Nos. 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 & 17. It is east of side of National Highway-17 about 15km from Kodungallur on the way to Guruvayoor in Trissur Dist. The (Hidayathul Islam Masjid) presently expanded presently to an area of 10850 Sq.ft. including the new Ablution area, and can accommodate 1300 persons for prayer. The Strong belief of Sunnath Jama-ath is established in our Mahallu under the guidance since beginning by our Ustad Marhoom N.P. for over 4 decades. Our Madrasa (Hidayathul Islam Secondary Madras) running with over 600 students running with 20 Mutha-allims including one Sadar Muallim. The Maqaam (of Marhoom Shaikhuna Hamza Musliar (N.M.) was built immediately after his demise our beloved mates during the year 2006. Regular SALAWATH Majlis is held on SECOND SUNDAY of every English month Just after Isha Prayer at the Maqaam. Regular SALAWATHUNNARIYA majlis is held on FIRST SUNDAY of every ENGLISH
