Regional Diocesan Golden Jubilee Meeting

As part of the year-long Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Diocese of Delhi, a Regional Diocesan Jubilee Meeting was held at St. George Orthodox Church, Jhansi, on 12 and 13 September 2026.
The celebrations brought together the faithful from St. George Orthodox Church, Jhansi; St. Thomas Orthodox Church, Agra; St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Dholpur; and St. Paul’s Orthodox Church, Gwalior, in a joyful spirit of thanksgiving, fellowship and renewed commitment to the mission of the Church.
The celebrations commenced on 12 September with the arrival of H.G. Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios, Metropolitan of the Diocese of Delhi, along with Rev. Fr. Saji Abraham, Diocesan Secretary; Rev. Fr. Yakob Baby, Convenor of the Golden Jubilee Sangamam; and Rev. Fr. Aaron Joshua John. The Jubilee Flag was hoisted by the Metropolitan, marking the formal beginning of the regional celebrations, followed by Evening Prayer, a pastoral message and blessings.
On Sunday, 13 September, the day began with the celebration of Holy Qurbana. The Public Meeting that followed was inaugurated by H.G. Dr. Youhanon Mar Demetrios and included the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, Jubilee Theme Song, presentation of the Diocesan Golden Jubilee Documentary, cultural programmes, and presentations on Jubilee projects and Diocesan activities.
The gathering concluded with thanksgiving and prayers, leaving the faithful with renewed gratitude for God’s faithfulness throughout the fifty-year journey of the Diocese and hope for its continued mission and witness in the years ahead.
