** *DGPC Jammu delegation Meets Revenue Officials *
Bishnah : A delegation of the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (DGPC) met Bishnah revenue officials to ensure the protection, proper ex*****on, and maintenance of properties belonging to Gurdwaras and religious institutions.
DGPC President S. Ranjeet Singh Tohra appealed to the Revenue Department officials to ensure that all land and property records registered in the name of Gurdwaras and religious institutions are kept clear and transparent. He also urged the authorities to take strict action against any cases of tampering, or encroachment on these properties.
DGPC Cashier S. Jagpal Singh stated that under the Jammu and Kashmir Gurdwara Religious Endowment Act, 1973, all elected members of the committee are legally responsible for safeguarding, maintaining, and protecting the properties belonging to Gurdwaras.
The Revenue Department officials assured the delegation that all genuine concerns raised by the DGPC would be addressed in accordance with the law and relevant rules.
