A delegation of the Bharatiya Jain Sanghatna, Jammu & Kashmir, led by its President Sandeep Jain Sunny along with General secretary Monika Jain, Patron Sh. Rajeev Jain and culture secretary Priyanka Jain, submitted representations to Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, regarding two important initiatives concerning the Jain community.

In the representation, the Sanghatna has requested the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor to kindly recommend to the Union Ministry of Culture a proposal for organizing “Jainत्व – Sanatan Sanskriti Mahotsav,” a cultural programme aimed at showcasing the philosophical heritage of Jainism and its shared civilizational values such as Ahimsa, compassion, ethical living and social harmony.

In a separate representation, the Sanghatna has also requested the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor to issue appropriate directions to the concerned authorities to ensure closure of all Government and Private schools in Jammu district on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti (31 March 2026), enabling Jain students and families to participate in the religious observances of the sacred festival.

The Sanghatna expressed hope that the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor will kindly consider both requests in the larger interest of promoting India’s cultural heritage and respecting the religious sentiments of the Jain community.

International women's day

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Kritika Jain, wife of Adv. Gagan Oswal, was felicitated for her remarkable achievement of securing Rank 11 in the Civil Judge (Jr. Division) Examination.

On behalf of All India Swetamber Sthanakwasi Jain Conference, Aissjc New Delhi , Sandeep Jain Sunny, National Secretary, along with Monika Jain (NEC member - women wing), Neerav Jain (State President - youth wing), and others felicitated her and extended heartfelt congratulations.

BJS Khilona Bank Expands Further — Another School Added

Continuing its commitment to joyful learning for underprivileged children, Jain Taruni Mandal, Jammu today added Govt Central School Kirpalpur to the BJS Khilona Bank initiative of Bharatiya Jain Sangathan.

A simple yet meaningful program was organised where educational toys were provided and every student was given a stationery kit to support their educational journey.
