HE MADE US GREAT AND MADE US KINGS
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES
PASTOR CHRIS

And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing (Genesis 12:2).

Some people struggle with the idea of greatness. They resist it because it sounds excessive or inappropriate. So they say, “Don’t talk about me being great; that’s too much.” But God made us great because we’re the seed of Abraham. Our greatness was His idea; we didn’t ask for it.

It wasn’t Abraham who said, “...O, God, make me great.” It was God who said to Abraham, “...I will bless thee, and make thy name great...” (Genesis 12:2). So, as a Christian, when you shrink back from greatness, it’s incongruous with your identity and with God’s plan for your life. Ponder the fact that God reiterated with unmistakable clarity in Genesis 17:6 what He had said in Genesis 12:2, “And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee” (Genesis 17:6).

Observe that it says, “Kings shall come out of thee.” This is consistent with what the Scripture reveals about us in Christ: “… much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17). The literal sense of the word “reign” in the verse above is to “king.” It’s the verb of kingship.

Therefore, you could say, “They which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall king in life by Jesus Christ.” And it gets even stronger. The Bible says He has “…made us kings and priests unto God and his Father...” (Revelation 1:6). Our title as kings isn’t futuristic but a present-moment reality. He has made us kings.

What do kings do? They rule and reign. They exercise authority and dominion in their realm. This is why you must never talk like a victim, act helpless, or see yourself as ordinary. You’re great, and you’re a king. The Bible says, “Where the word of a king is, there is power…” (Ecclesiastes 8:4). Kings don’t beg or grovel; they speak with authority. They comport themselves with dignity. Kings manifest royalty.

Every so often, say, “I know who I am; I’m great, and I’m a king. I reign and rule in life.” You’re not trying to hype yourself when you say this but merely affirming what God has done, who He’s made you. It’s your identity; He made you great and made you a king.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for your blessing and greatness at work in my life. I walk in the consciousness of who I am in Christ, reigning in life by your gift of grace and righteousness. My words carry power, my life reflects dominion, and I manifest your glory everywhere, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

📖TO THE BIBLE - Romans 8:15 NKJV
"For you did not receive the spirit of bo***ge again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."

LET'S TALK⏩
I've often said that Christianity is not a religion, and there are those who struggle with that truth. But once you grasp the real teachings of Christianity, you realize it isn't a religion at all. Consider your relationship with your biological father-would anyone describe that as a religion? Of course not. It:s a living, vital relationship. In the same way, Christianity is the relationship between God the Father and His children.

Before the Lord Jesus came, there was no relationship of this nature. Men were merely worshipers-religious and distant. But Jesus brought us into fellowship, a love- relationship with the Father. He brought us into a real vital relationship with God. It's a family relationship. Ephesians 3:14-15 tells us about this family; some are in heaven and some in the earth.

This is why the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus is so profound. He is our Lord and Saviour, yet He is also our Brother. After His resurrection, He said, "...I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God" (John 20:17 NKJV). Before the cross, He called His disciples servants; later, friends. But after His resurrection-the origin of Christianity-He called them brethren. Hebrews 2:11 tells us He is not ashamed to call us brothers and sisters.

What a glorious truth! As holy and righteous as He is, He has brought us into God's family. Let it be a call of duty to bring many into this family relationship with the Lord through Soul-winning outreaches.

DIVINE AUTHORISATION FOR UNSTOPPABLE GROWTH
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL
SUNDAY, 24TH MAY 2026
PASTOR CHRIS

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end... (Isaiah 9:7).

Once, many years ago, the Lord said to me, “Son, keep growing.” Instantly, it registered in my spirit and I understood what He meant; it was a license to grow, a divine authorization to keep making progress without restraint. And that has been my life and my experience; anything I get involved with grows, and the growth is ever increasing.

For example, this devotional is available in every known language and dialect of the world and distributed in every known nation and territory on earth. This isn’t the work of a man. Our Healing Streams programme reaches over 7 billion participants around the world and in every language known to be spoken on earth.

This is somewhat astonishing and a mystery to some people, so they say it can’t be real. Well, it’s God’s work, and when you understand how God works, you’d know He gives different graces as He wills. Also, the Bible says He sets boundaries that men can’t pass over (Psalm 104:9).

In other words, there’re people whose boundaries, the extent of what they can achieve, have been determined by God. When they reach that measure, they’ve fulfilled what God assigned to them and God is pleased because they’ve fulfilled His purpose.

But for some of us, our progress is unstoppable; it’s ever-increasing until the Master shows up. The Master Himself is the greatest example of such ever-increasing and limitless growth. The prophecy about Him says, “Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end...” (Isaiah 9:7).

That means His government, His rulership, dominion, and peace, never stops. It keeps spreading until it takes over the whole world. His peace keeps expanding as we declare and enforce it in all nations. Hallelujah.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your purpose and your direction for my life. I receive your Word into my spirit and I walk in the light of your plan. I keep growing, increasing and expanding in all that you have appointed for me. My life produces results that glorify you, and your peace and dominion spread through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE CHURCH IS BUILT ON CHRIST
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES
PASTOR CHRIS

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, THAT THOU ART PETER, AND UPON THIS ROCK I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH…” (Matthew 16:16-18).

Over the years, many have grossly misunderstood the underlined portion of the scripture above. Some have assumed the “rock” was the revelation Peter gave when he said Jesus was the Christ. Others have even assumed the “rock” was Peter himself. But neither of these is true.

The Lord Jesus was speaking about a Person when He said, “Upon this rock”; He was referring to Himself—Christ! In Greek, the distinction becomes even clearer. The Lord Jesus called Peter “Petrus,” meaning a stone, but He referred to the foundation as “Petra,” meaning a rock, a founding stone.

The Lord is that rock. He wasn’t saying, “Upon this ‘Petrus’ I will build my Church” but “Upon this ‘Petra,’” which is Christ the Rock, a foundation, a sure cornerstone: “...Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation...” (Isaiah 28:16). Christ had already been known in prophetic writings as the Rock.

So, when Peter said, “Thou art the Christ,” he was declaring that the Lord Jesus was the promised foundation. He was the one spoken of as the sure cornerstone. And the Master responded by revealing the prophetic reality: the Church would be built upon Christ, the Rock, and nothing from hell could prevail against it.

This connects with the prophetic vision in Daniel. Daniel spoke of the stone cut out without hands that struck the image at its feet of iron and clay, and the whole structure collapsed (Daniel 2:34-35). That stone became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.

The interpretation was clear: “Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshingfloors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth” (Daniel 2:35). That's the mountain of the Lord's house.

The stone is Christ, and that mountain is His everlasting dominion. The Church is built on Christ, and because the Church stands firm on Him, the gates of hell cannot prevail against it. This is the certainty of our faith. Christ is our Rock; we’re established on Him forever.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the light of your Word and the certainty of the truth revealed in Christ. My faith is established on Christ, the Rock, and the Gospel prevails in every nation, and the righteousness of Christ is established in the hearts of men, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Imagine walking into a dark room and suddenly, a single candle is lit. Imagine walking into a dark room, and suddenly, a single candle is lit. That small flame reveals what was hidden, guides your steps, and brings clarity. This simple picture reveals a profound truth about your identity in Christ. You are that light! Not just any light, but the light of the world.

The Lord Jesus declared, “You’re the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14 NKJV). This is not a suggestion; it’s a divine command. God’s glory in you is meant to radiate through your words, your love, and your conduct. Your life as a Christian is designed to expose deception and to illuminate the path of righteousness for others.

Do not hide your faith or dim your light. Let your actions and your love reflect the transforming power of Christ within you. You are His epistle, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God (2 Corinthians 3:3). Even those who have never read the Bible can read Christ in you through your life.

Isaiah 60:1 NKJV commands, “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.” This is your call to action! God has made you a burning and shining light. So stand up, shine brightly, and illuminate your world with the truth, grace, and righteousness of the Gospel. Hallelujah!

THEME: USE THE WORD TO JUDGE THE RIGHT COUNSEL

From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day (Matthew 16:21).

Matthew 16 reveals an important moment between the Lord Jesus and His disciples. After they had been preaching and declaring Him the Christ, the Master began to focus inward, revealing what was to come. He instructed His disciples to keep His identity secret for the time being.

Soon after, He explained that He must go to Jerusalem, suffer many things, be killed, and then raised back to life. Upon hearing all that, Peter did something unbelievable. The Bible says he took the Lord aside “…and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee” (Matthew 16:22).

Think about that; Peter rebuking the Master. The Lord knew it was Satan who spoke through Peter and addressed Satan directly, saying, “…Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men” (Matthew 16:23).

Peter, on that occasion, must have been startled, because he wasn’t aware it was the devil who put those words in his mouth. It matters who you’re speaking for. Only give vent to the things that be of God. Never lend your voice in support of Satan.

It’s the reason knowing the Word and having it renew your mind is so important. Let the Word of God dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16). The knowledge of God’s Word makes you discerning; you’re able to judge good from evil and prove (allow) the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). With the light of God’s Word, you’re able to judge what’s coming from you, what’s coming from Satan or what’s coming from God.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your Word that gives me understanding and discernment. My heart is established in your truth, and I recognise every thought, voice and influence that is not from you. My knowledge of your Word guides me, and I speak in alignment with your will at all times. I walk in victory, and I live conscious of who I am in Christ. Hallelujah!

HE ALWAYS PRESERVES HIS PURPOSE
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES
PASTOR CHRIS

And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness (2 Samuel 15:31).

In our previous study, we referenced how Absalom, David’s son, led a strong conspiracy against David, his father. Ahithophel was greatly revered as one who spoke from God, but he joined Absalom’s camp, strengthening the conspiracy against David even further. As a result, David prayed to the Lord to turn Ahithophel’s wisdom to foolishness.

But something remarkable followed David’s prayer. The Bible says David went up to the top of the mount where he worshipped God, and right there, Hushai the Archite came to meet him. God’s answer showed up in the form of a man, a strategic placement.

David immediately understood what that meant and what to do. He told Hushai to return to the city and present himself to Absalom as a servant, just as he had served him, David. The purpose was clear: Hushai would be positioned where he could counter and defeat the counsel of Ahithophel from within Absalom’s camp.

This is a striking picture of how God preserves His purpose. Even when satanic strategies rise through subtle counsellors, God has His own people, His own instruments of wisdom and righteousness who can frustrate and dismantle those plots.

Thus, if you’re a leader, it matters who’s in your cabinet or inner circle, those who have access and can influence your decisions. They must be those who stand as voices for righteousness and truth, those who’ll cause God’s purpose to prevail and keep prevailing in our world.

God, in His wisdom, always has His “Hushais” among the leaders of nations, men and women positioned by the Spirit to frustrate wicked counsel and ensure that the will of God is done. Always pray that the leaders recognise these men and women He has positioned strategically to help them preserve righteousness and advance His purpose in the nations. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, your wisdom and righteousness prevails in the nations as your children uphold the truth of the Gospel and establish righteousness around the world. Your will is done in the earth, and your dominion spreads unhindered, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

IT’S OUR KINGDOM CULTURE
(Excellence Is Our Way Of Life)
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES
Pastor Chris

📖TO THE BIBLE - Daniel 6:3 NKJV
“Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.”

LET’S TALK⏩
A master craftsman once said that you can always tell what governs a man by what shows up consistently in his work. When excellence is the rule, it needs no announcement—it speaks. You see it in the details, the precision, the quiet confidence that refuses to settle for “good enough.” In God’s Kingdom, excellence isn’t an occasional effort; it’s a way of life.

In the Kingdom of God, excellence is our culture. We don’t strive for excellence; we do excellent things. Excellence is the nature of our Father, and because we’re born of Him, that same nature finds expression in everything we do. This is what distinguishes you. It lifts you above mediocrity and gives you an advantage that skill, talent, or human connections alone can never secure. Consider Daniel. His elevation above his peers wasn’t the result of politics or superior credentials; it was the Spirit of excellence at work in him. The Bible says, “Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him” (Daniel 6:3 KJV). That same Spirit—the Holy Spirit— lives in you today.

Excellence goes beyond performance; it reflects character, consistency, and distinction in attitude and conduct. God never called you to be average. He called you to show forth His glory. “But ye are a chosen generation… that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9 KJV).

The Word says you were called to glory and virtue—and virtue means excellence (2 Peter1:3). So, whether you’re studying for exams, learning a skill, serving in church, or helping at home, do it excellently. Don’t say, “I’m just a teenager.” You’re a Kingdom representative.Don’t excuse mediocrity. Give your best—not because others are watching, but because you represent the Kingdom. You’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, and excellence is part of that righteousness. Every assignment is an opportunity to reveal divine excellence. Be detailed, diligent, dependable, and exceptional.

YOUR LIFE: THE LOUDEST SERMON
(Live Conscious That You Represent The Kingdom)
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES
Pastor Chris

LET’S TALK⏩
A skilled violinist once stood in a busy subway station, playing a masterpiece. Thousands walked past, barely noticing the beauty flowing through the air. Days earlier, the same music had moved audiences to tears in a grand concert hall. The difference wasn’t the melody—it was the setting and the attention of the hearers. God’s message is often heard most powerfully not from a pulpit, but from a life intentionally lived for Him.

Preaching the Gospel isn’t only—or always—about standing on a platform with a microphone. Sometimes,
the loudest sermon is your life. The way you live, speak, respond, and relate should draw men to Christ; that’s God’s purpose. He declares in Isaiah 60:3 NKJV, “The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.” Your life has to attract others to the righteousness of God.

The Lord Jesus reaffirmed this truth when He said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16 NKJV). God has called you to be a living epistle—the visible expression of His righteousness, grace, and power. In a world saturated with compromise and confusion, your consistency in godliness becomes a compelling testimony.

People are watching you—your family members, friends, colleagues, and even strangers. Your life is a message. Even when they’ve never opened a Bible, they’re “reading” you, observing Christ’s integrity, love, compassion, and excellence through your actions. Therefore, live with the consciousness that you represent the Kingdom.

When your life aligns with your message, your impact multiplies. Walk in love, truth, and humility. Let Christ be seen in your eyes, heard in your words, and felt in your touch. As the Spirit instructs in Philippians 1:27 NLT, “Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ….” Make your life the sermon that draws many to Him.
