Welcome to – “Evangelical Lutheran Youth of India” (ELYI), formerly “Evangelism India” is a Community based organization (CBO) Registered under Charitable and Religious Trusts Act, 1920. We work towards this vision by supporting the Church with resources, training and networking as well as through our pan-India camping events. We exist to support congregations, schools and the wider Church in their ministry to the young Christians of India. Evangelical Lutheran Youth of India is primarily known for our successful campaigns ministry. Events such as Young Apostles, Answers in Action, Lutheran Hour Press Service, first and foremost these campaigns have been conducted in the east cost of India i.e., Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal. Nevertheless these campaigns whip up support and the get-together have contributed significantly to the spiritual journey of the young people in our Churches. These camps provide the opportunity for young people to explore who God is, make lifelong friends and have the best fun; all within a community of love and support. ELYI is the place where we commemorate that the lexis of God are in the mouths of young people! Right there, in their daily words and deeds, God’s life-giving love and God’s power for re-making the world are found. Jeremiah was a young person who thought he totally lacked the right qualifications and the necessary courage, but God propelled him, and filled him, for announcing a new reality and a new community. God is still propelling and filling young people, calling them to sing of a new way to be human, in the real lives of young people -- young people who have been called into life with Jesus -- this new way is shouted out and acted out, for the church and for the whole world.
