"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." Luke 12:6-7

Attention to detail means you care. When you show intimate interest in something or someone, it means you value them. This is the nature of your heavenly Father. No concern misses His interest. The cost of a sparrow, compared to the cost of you, is incomparable. Your worth outstrips all of His creation. You are the pinnacle of His portfolio. You are God’s most valued asset, as He knows and understands the details of your life. He, of course, is more intimately involved with you than you are with you. This is reassuring.

But right now you may be right in the middle of a maze of uncertainty. Life could not be more confusing. Your motivation to move forward is like walking through a marsh of molasses. Life is not fun right now, but the one with His eye on the sparrow has His heart on you. His care is beyond your comprehension. He is relentless and reassuring in His compassion. Please never forget how much God cares for and knows all about you. He knows your weaknesses and insecurities. He knows all of the things that make you unique. And He knows how many hairs are on your head. Incredible! And Jesus didn’t stop there. He looked those people eyeball to eyeball and told them, You ... and you ... and you ... and you ... and you ... and you ... are worth more than a whole mess of sparrows! The secret to finding our significance is knowing God’s heart for us. Once we understand that we are significant to Him, we can move forward in the purpose He has for us--because every life has a purpose.

"But LORD, be merciful to us, for we have waited for you. Be our strong arm each day and our salvation in times of trouble." Isaiah 33:2

This is a prayer that we should all pray every day, especially in the morning, because that’s often when we seem to need it most. “O Lord, be merciful to me.” When we ask God to “be merciful,” we are asking Him to show us His compassion and mercy, especially when we are hurting. We are petitioning Him to be kind and generous to us when we have a need. We long for You.” When we say that we have “waiting” for God, it means that we are counting on Him, and expecting Him to keep His promises to us. The author of Psalm 130 says it this way: “I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on Him. I have put my hope in His Word. I long for the Lord more than sentries(watchmen) long for the dawn, yes, more than sentries(watchmen) long for the dawn.” Psalm 130:5-6. God loves to hear us say that we long for His presence and His help. When we confess these things with sincerity, He will not delay in answering us in unexpected and astounding ways.

“Be our strength every morning.” We need the Lord’s strength and power every moment of every day. But since we are often at our weakest and most vulnerable when we first open our eyes in the morning, it’s critical that we pray for the Lord’s strength early in the day. What we have to remember is that our mindset when we first wake up can chart the course for our entire day. So allowing negative thoughts and emotions to linger can rob us of the victories and blessings that God has for us that day. Scripture says: “I can do all things through Christ who gives me the strength” Philippians 4:13. By asking for--and depending upon--the Lord’s strength each morning, we will receive all the divine help we need to think right and to do right, for the glory of God.

"God, I will sing about Your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about Your unfailing love!" Psalm 59:16-17

No matter how discouraged, weary, or overwhelmed we may feel, the Lord is right there, ready to lift us up. He is waiting for us to turn our eyes toward Him and draw near to His presence. God truly cares about you, and He truly cares about me. What a comfort! What a joy! What a peace! His love is not based on our performance, our circumstances, or our feelings. His love is constant, faithful, and unfailing. Every morning is a fresh reminder that His mercy is new and His grace is sufficient for whatever lies ahead.

Take a moment right now to come close to God. Whisper His name. Quiet your heart before Him and rest in His presence. Let His gentle love wash over your worries, strengthen your faith, and remind you that you are never alone. The God who created you, saved you, and sustains you is with you today. Lift your eyes to Him and let your heart sing with joy because His unfailing love will never let you go.

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.” Isaiah 54:10

God is faithful and we need to learn to trust in His character, knowing He will never abandon us. When our view becomes cloudy and we find it difficult to hear His voice, and see His face, we need to ask Him to give us the strength we need to keep moving forward and increase our weak faith. We know that He hears our prayers and we trust that once again we will feel His loving embrace. It may seem as God is ignoring you at times, as you continue to pray without seeing any results. It can leave you feeling discouraged and alone. Just as the sun is always in its place and shining even when the clouds roll in obscuring our view God is there with us.

He is listening and responding, and He will never leave or turn His back on you. It is your faith in God that you have come to know so well and to trust so completely that will sustain you through these seemingly quiet and lonely times. Those clouds will pass and you will once again enjoy His warm embrace.

“Since the Lord is directing our steps, why do we try to figure out everything that happens along the way?” Proverbs 20:24

My friends we all go through disappointments, setbacks and things we just don’t understand. Let me encourage you to instead of trying to find a reason behind everything that happens, one of the best things we can do is release it to God and let it go. Some things we will never understand until years later when we look back and see how God was working. Instead we need to trust God knows what He's doing, even if His timing is not clear to us. God is directing you every step of the way. He has a way of causing all things to work together for your good.(Romans 8:28)

God sees far beyond our immediate situation. For this reason, we are instructed to trust Him even when things do not make sense. Whatever God places on our heart, we need to say yes to Him! All God asks of you and I is to walk in faith knowing that He will make a way.

“When I am overwhelmed, you alone know the way I should turn…..” Psalm 142:3

Maybe you feel completely overwhelmed and stressed and you have gotten bogged down in worry where your life situations were getting the best of you, causing you to be rather emotional and worn out. If this is where you begin to meditate on this scripture. When you’re overwhelmed, God knows and He sees you. He knows where you are, and, more importantly, He knows where you’re headed. This scripture is such a great reminder to us that, when we are going through our own private darkness, God is in us, comforting our spirit.

In your quiet time just to listen to God, He will speak to your heart and say, "I want you to be overwhelmed with me." When we are overwhelmed with worldly thoughts, worries and stress, God wants to replace all those feelings with His love, joy and peace. God wants our hearts to be overwhelmed, but overwhelmed with His presence. God wants to exchange our worries with His peace and leave us overwhelmed with His presence. What a thought to be completely consumed and overwhelmed with God!

“I will go before you and make the crooked places straight…” Isaiah 45:2

It’s such an encouragement to know that we serve a God Who will make our crooked places straight, make the rough places smooth, level the exalted places, and level the mountains. Are you going through a season where you feel like every time you try to move forward, you hit a roadblock? Something happens that throws you off course. Be encouraged today because when you submit your life to the Lord, He promises to go before you. He is preparing a way for you. He is making your crooked places straight and your rough places smooth. You may be going through a difficult time right now, but it’s not the end. It’s only the beginning, and God has equipped you for this journey. Today, if you feel like you’re in a dry season, don’t look at your circumstances. Look at the promise of God! If you’ll keep speaking words of faith, God promises that He’ll anoint your head with oil and your cup will run over. That means you’ll be refreshed and anointed to do what He’s called you to do. God is preparing your path and equipping you for the journey.

What do you need in order to keep moving forward? Start by checking your attitude. Don’t go around complaining or focusing on the negative side of things. Put on an attitude of praise and thanksgiving.and put your complete faith and trust in Him, "He will make your crooked places straight"(Isaiah 45:2) "He will cause you to mount up with wings like the eagle".(Isaiah 40:31) Keep your eyes on the Lord and follow Him forward into the path of victory!

"....for when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:10b

On the surface it makes no sense. To those who do not share a relationship with the Lord it will never make sense. But to those whose mind is set on the things of the Spirit it speaks volumes- and is a continual source of comfort and power. Maybe you woke up today weak, tired and exhausted today and relied on your own strength day after day to get through whatever you're dealing with. If that is where you are, God had a word for you today. "For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10b). “Even the smallest drop of God’s strength is more than enough to get us through whatever we're dealing with.

How about it? Will you give him the chance to work on your weaknesses? Will you approach all of your storms with an understanding that God’s strength will not only get you through but help you triumph? His grace really is that sufficient. And it is available for you right now. So cast all your cares, all your worries, all your fears, all your doubts on God today, trust Him and lean strongly on Him and His strength to get through whatever you're dealing with.
