Maranatha Theological Seminary (Formerly known as ‘Maranatha Veda Patasala’ – Hyderabad) was established in 2003 at Hyderabad by Rev. Kancharla, the director of Maranatha Theological Seminary, with an aim to train the young men and women in the sound doctrine of God’s word in terms of theological and as well as in the practical life, so that they may reach their respective places and extend the ki

ngdom of God. MTS was started in a humble manner with 9 Students in 2003. God has been so faithful in the growth of this institution. It was started with Telugu medium Diploma program. But in the year of 2005, it could extend the course to Bachelor Level in English medium. Further it got the accreditation from Asia Theological Association (ATA) for Diploma in Theology program in the year of 2009 and Bachelor of Theology in the year of 2015 for both Telugu and English medium. It also started Master of Divinity in distance education in 2016, which was accredited by Christ For The Nations Association of Bible Schools (CFNABS) – USA. The name was officially changed from ‘Maranatha Veda Patasla’ – Hyderabad to MARANATHA THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY in 2016.

22nd Graduation Ceremony – Maranatha Theological Seminary (MTS)

On June 25, 2026, Maranatha Theological Seminary, Hyderabad, celebrated its 22nd Graduation Ceremony, honoring graduates from its theological programs. The event featured academic, ministry, and vocational training reports, followed by the conferral of degrees and certificates. The ceremony concluded with words of encouragement and appreciation for the sponsors, commissioning the graduates for faithful Christian ministry and service.

Maranatha Theological Seminary Study Center – Bikkavolu
First Graduation Ceremony on 04th of June 2026
With the gracious support of Dr. Valluri Harischandra Prasad (Paul), Pastor of Prayer Power Centre, Bikkavolu, Bachelor of Biblical Studies (BBS), Diploma of Biblical Studies (DBS) and Certificate of Biblical Studies (CBS) were successfully conducted at the Maranatha Theological Seminary - Study Center, Bikkavolu over the past ten months. The program began with the participation of many interested students. Through dedication and perseverance, 72 students successfully completed all academic requirements fort the courses BBS, DBS & CBS and qualified for graduation marking a significant milestone in their theological education and spiritual growth.

Kancharla, Faculty, and distinguished guests, East Godavari Pastors Fellowship (EGPF) Pastors.
