Do not love the world or things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not him.
For all that is in the world- the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life- is not of the father but is of the world.
And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

THREE THINGS GOD WANTS!!!
THREE THINGS that God wants His people (those who are called by His name) should do before Him.
1. God’s people must humble themselves.
2. Pray and seek His face.
3. Turn from their wicked ways.
Then, God will do THREE THINGS for them.
1. He will hear from heaven.
2. Forgive their sins.
3. Heal their land.
So, do what you (God’s people)should do and then ,the God who is faithful will do His part.
(THIS IS ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES FROM 2 Chronicles 7:14)

St. Paul says:
" I wrote you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people. In no way did I mean the immoral people of this world, or the greedy and swindlers and idolaters, since you would then have to go out of the world. But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who calls himself a Christian who is sexually immoral, or greedy, or an idolater, or verbally abusive, or a drunkard, or a swindler. Do not even eat with such a person. For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Are you not to judge those inside? But God will judge those outside. Remove the evil person from among you." (1 Corinthians 5:9-13)

Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

“I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”

Therefore

“Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord." (2 Corinthians 6:14-17)

BE PARTAKERS OF THE DIVINE NATURE
“His divine power has given us ever thing we need, for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue. Through these he has given us exceedingly great and precious promises, so that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature.”

Ever wonder why promises are given?

“So that, by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” (2 Peter 1:3, 4)

For this reason, make every effort to add these things to your faith:
1. To your faith -- goodness
2. To your goodness -- knowledge
3. To knowledge -- Self-control
4. To self-control -- patience
5. To patience -- godliness
6. To godliness -- brotherly kindness
7. To brotherly kindness -- Love (charity)

For, if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge and work of our lord Jesus Christ.
But if any one does not have them, he is short-sighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.

Therefore, brothers, give diligence (steady attention and effort) to make your calling and election sure; for if you do these things, You Shall Never Fall.

“And you will receive a rich welcome into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 1:5-11)
