Muslim Foundation India (MFI) helps masjids with maintenance and minor repair work, especially for mosques serving low-income communities. Support may include repairs, renovation, water and sanitation facilities, and basic upkeep, subject to fund availability.

Masjid committees can apply by submitting registration documents, details of required work, and cost estimates through MFI’s official contact channels.

Remembrance of God (Dhikr):
It is one of the simplest and most powerful forms of remembering God, bringing peace and focus to the heart.

Strengthening Faith:
It reminds a believer that no problem, fear, or difficulty is greater than God.

Used in Prayer (Ṣalāh):
It is repeated throughout the Islamic prayer to keep the worshipper spiritually present.

Expression of Gratitude and Awe:
Muslims say it when witnessing something beautiful, receiving blessings, or feeling grateful.

Protection from Negative Thoughts:
Dhikr, including Allāhu Akbar, is believed to calm the mind and protect the heart spiritually.

Encouraged by the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ):
Many authentic narrations mention the virtue of frequent remembrance of God, including saying Allāhu Akbar.

1. It is the greatest statement in Islam

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best of what I and the prophets before me have said is:
Lā ilāha illallāh.”

2. It wipes away sins

Sincere belief in lā ilāha illallāh erases all past sins, just like someone is born new.

3. Key to entering Jannah (Paradise)

The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever dies knowing that there is no god but Allah will enter Paradise.”

4. Protection from Hellfire

Saying lā ilāha illallāh sincerely from the heart protects a person from Hell.

5. Foundation of all good deeds

All worship—prayer, fasting, dua, dhikr—only has value if one believes in lā ilāha illallāh.

6. Light on the Day of Judgment

This phrase will shine and benefit the believer on the Day of Judgment.

7. Most heavy word on the scale (Mizān)

The Prophet ﷺ said that lā ilāha illallāh is the heaviest statement on the scales of deeds.
