God’s Tabernacle Assembly of God Churchis known as God’s Tabernacle Assembly of God Church, New Deep Nagar Hoshiarpur connected with world largest Pentecostal church. The origin of this church is not too old. The first Pastor named Ashoken in 2001 came to Hoshiarpur. He was from Kerala and he started working in Punjab. His reason for coming to Hoshiarpur was, there was not even one Pentecostal church in Hoshiarpur, (now days we can find there are many independent Pentecostal churches) in year 2000 this pastor was in district Barnala (Punjab), where he was ministering, later on for 6 months he went to Nangal (Himachal Pradesh), from there he got the desire to serve God in Hoshiarpur, for there was no Pentecostal church. So God’s work began in Hoshiarpur. Slowly God increased them into 20 members. For two years pastor Ashoken worked in Hoshiarpur, and done the job that God has set for him in this place. Later on this Pastor got transfer from Hoshiarpur to Amritsar and another Pastor named Pankaj Singh came into Hoshiarpur, he is from Chattisgarh (M.P). He is presently working in Hoshiarpur. God put burden in his heart for Hoshiarpur; he was serving God in Mandi Gobind Garh (Punjab), year 2004 he came in Hoshiarpur. Basically he was running Pastor Ashoken’s church and he always prayed to God for the growth of the people in the church. According to God’s word (John 15:2 that “He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does fruit He prunes, so that it will be even more fruitful”). This had happened in the church. Later on God worked in Hoshiarpur. Pastor Pankaj also started working in a rented house, in a small room. He was living in one house located in Gokul Nagar. Later it was shifted from Gokul Nagar to Kirti Nagar, Hoshiarpur and there by the grace of God and by the prayers of believers and Pastor God’s work is continued in Hoshiarpur. Now days we have our own church building in New Deep Nagar Hoshiarpur. Now days in our Church there Bible studies, Youth fellowship, fasting prayers etc. are happening. Pastor Pankaj Singh also runs other services in some villages out of the city. Pastor Pankaj started the God’s work that is still going on in this center.
