Maa Katyayini

Maa Katyayini or goddess Katyayani is the 6th form of Nav Durga is worshipped on the sixth day of Navaratri (Durga Puja) and She is called Katyayani because she was born as the daughter of Sage Katya of Katya clan. She is having three eyes and four arms in which upper hand is holding a sword weapon and left having a lotus flower. Remaining two other hands represents protective and conceding signs. Her colour of skin is golden in color and sit on lion with wearing pink saree. She is mainly worship for early and love marriage. Her holy mantras are recited to find a suitable husband and by those who are getting delay in their marriage. Maa Skandamata

Skanda Mata is worshipped on the fifth Day of Navratri. She had a son ‘Skandaa and holds him on her lap . She has three eyes and four hands; two hands hold lotuses while the other 2 hands respectively display defending and granting gestures. Its said, by the mercy of Skandmata, even the idiot becomes an ocean of knowledge. The great and legendary Sanskrit Scholar Kalidas created his two masterpieces works “Raghuvansh Maha Kavya” and “Meghdoot” by the grace of Skandmata. Mata is considered as a deity of fire.
