Dear Members and Well-wishers,

As you all know, every year Natun Basti Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee organizes a special programme on the occasion of Mahalaya, which includes a community breakfast gathering. This event has always been a moment of togetherness and joy for all of us.

However, with deep sorrow, we would like to inform you that this year, the Committee has unanimously decided to cancel the Mahalaya programme. The reason behind this difficult decision is to mourn the untimely demise of Assam’s pride and legendary singer, Zubeen Garg, whose passing has left an irreplaceable void in our hearts.

As a mark of respect to his contribution to Assamese culture, music, and society, we shall observe this Mahalaya in silence and prayer rather than celebration.

We humbly request your understanding and support in this decision. May we all come together to honor his memory and carry forward the values he represented.

The time has come again where we are delighted to celebrate Durga Puja 2025 with the same enthusiasm and vibrancy as we did last year. We wish to get the same support and response this year also from our visitors and well-wishers.

It is with great pleasure that Natun Basti Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee announces its receipt of the second prize for Best Pandal 2024, awarded by GMC. The honor was accepted today in the presence of GMC Mayor, Sri Mrigen Sarania.
The committee extends its gratitude to all visitors for their overwhelming support and for visiting the Puja Pandal from far and wide.
