On this blessed day, the Diocese of Delhi joins with heartfelt joy and gratitude in celebrating the birthday of our beloved Metropolitan. We thank God for the precious gift of his life, his faithful ministry, and the loving shepherding that His Holiness offers to the Church. We are deeply grateful for a shepherd who remains close to our hearts—embracing us with fatherly love, care, compassion, and prayer.

We pray that the Lord may graciously bless His Holiness with abundant grace, good health, strength, peace, and many more blessed years. May the Lord continue to guide and strengthen His Holiness as he leads and shepherds us, and may his life and ministry remain a source of blessing to the Church and to all entrusted to his care. With our heartfelt prayers, love, and warmest birthday wishes, we extend our greetings for a truly blessed and joyful day.

The Parishes of the Delhi Diocese of Believers Eastern Church reverently observed Holy Thursday, commemorating the sacred night when our Lord Jesus Christ revealed the fullness of His love through humility and sacrifice, and instituted the holy sacrament of the Eucharist. In each parish, the priests solemnly enacted the washing of feet, embracing parishioners without distinction of status or age. This profound act recalled the supreme example of love and humility demonstrated by our Lord on the eve of His Passion, as He prepared to offer Himself for the salvation of the world.

🌿✝️ Blessed Palm Sunday Celebrations in the Parishes across Delhi Diocese of Believers Eastern Church! ✝️🌿
Palm Sunday was celebrated with deep devotion and joy on March 29, 2026. Parishes held vibrant processions, carrying palm leaves and singing hymns of praise, commemorating our Lord’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, marking the start of Holy Week. At the St. John Believers Eastern Church, at Gurgaon, His Eminence John Mor Irenaeus Episcopa, Archbishop of Delhi and Chennai, graced as the celebrant, leading the solemn Holy Liturgy filled with praise and reverence.

Unity Octave Participation – Believers Eastern Church, Delhi Diocese.

The parishes and priests of Believers Eastern Church, Delhi Diocese, actively participated in the Unity Octave organized by the North West India Council (NWICC) from 18–25 January. The unity prayer meetings were hosted in the parishes of the member churches of NWICC, fostering fellowship and shared witness.
On 23 January, St. Thomas Believers Eastern Church, Hauz Khas, hosted one of the gatherings. The message was delivered by H.G. Yuhanon Mar Demetrios Metropolitan of the Malankara Syrian Orthodox Church, Delhi Diocese, in the presence of distinguished leaders: Archbishop the Most Reverend Anil J. T. Couto of the Catholic Archdiocese of Delhi, and His Eminence John Mor Irenaeus of the Believers Eastern Church, Archdiocese of Delhi. The St John Believers Eastern Church, Dhumaspur Choir led the worship, enriching the occasion with heartfelt praise.
Priests of the Diocese—Fr. Bobin Joseph, Fr. Khaleshwar Pradhan, Fr. Vishal Vipin, and Fr. Dhiraj Nayak—participated in sessions held on different days. Additionally, Fr. Dr. John Mathew shared God’s Word at the Centenary Methodist Church, further enriching the Octave.
This Unity Octave strengthened fellowship among the churches in Delhi, inspired faith, and demonstrated the living witness of Christ’s love, leaving participants deeply encouraged and committed to ongoing unity.

The Delhi Diocese joyfully celebrated Republic Day 2026 with active participation from our local churches and Asha Grih, our cherished children's home. The day began with unfurling the national flag, followed by patriotic prayers, the National Anthem, and a special message on our duty as citizens to uphold justice, unity, and peace. Children and youth presented patriotic songs and short cultural items, spreading a spirit of gratitude and national pride. At the diocese, the diocesan vicar and at the parishes, the parish vicars gave leadership to the ceremony. We thank everyone who contributed!
