Sri Krishn Janmashtami function at Gurgaon Kali Bari was celebrated with traditional devotion and fervour. A sizable group of devotees participated in the celebrations. The traditional Puja on the occasion was followed by Pushpanjali, Aarati and Phal Prasad.

The highlight of the evening was musical performances by little children dressed up as Krishna and Radha. Participating children were felicitated with small tokens of appreciation.

The birth of Sri Krishna was celebrated at midnight with traditional pulling of Palki and musical program. This was followed by a humble traditional Bhog (community meal).

A special word of thanks for our dedicated group of women volunteers, aided by some men, who put in a lot of efforts since a few days before the function in planning, thorough cleaning and decoration of the Kalibari premises and Radha-Krishna murtis and, on Janmashtami evening, organising the entire function including cooking of the Bhog prasad.

Bipadtarini Puja at Gurgaon Kali Bari held on Saturday, 18th July, 2026:

The annual Bipodtarini Puja was organised at Gurgaon Kali Bari with traditional fervour and devotion. A fairly large number of devotees participated at the function.

The preparations for the Puja, led by our group of dedicated women volunteers and children, started a couple of weeks before the function and went on till late night/early morning just a few hours before the Puja.

During the event, besides the main Puja by our resident Purohit/s, the gathered devotees participated in the Pushpanjali, were provided the duly consecrated and carefully put together Puja 'dala' (wicker basket) with prescribed fruits and sweets, and finally partook of the Bhog (humble community meal).

The devotees, many participating at the Puja for the first time including some new visitors to the Kalibari, appreciated the flawless arrangements and expressed their appreciation to the organising team members in person.
