Sri Naganatha Temple is a very famous temple located @ North Karnataka in Gulbarga district. History dates back to the time, wen Sri Rama was in Vanavasa, he bulit a temple in Sri Kshetra Mahagaon called as Sri Ramalinga. aj and every day pooja is performed without fail. Also in the year 1982-83, Sri Sri Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham Chandrashekhara Sarasawti performed his chaturtmasa here for 9 months and 9 days. And during his stay many VVIP's including the Honorable President & PM of that time visited this place. Indira Gandhi came to the holy place to take the blessings of the Lord Nagantha. Whoever visits the temple never go empty handed and all their wishes will be fulfilled in no time. Ashada Utsava is celebrated for 12 days from Ashada Pratipada to Dwadashi and during these days special pooja will be performed each day and Bhajana, Sangeeta Sammelana will be held @ the temple premises. At the end of the day prasadam will be distributed to all the devotees. On Ashada Dashami, Sri Naganatha Math Guru Sri Siddaraja Maharaj Aaradhana Mahostava will be there and his successor Guru Sri Govindrao Maharaj will be going for Bhiksha to each and every home @ Sri Kshetra Mahagaon and the devotees will donate as per their wishes. On Ekadashi Sri Lord Nagantha pallaki seva will be there and thousands of devotees will gather. Pallaki will be taken to holy temple Sri Ramalinga @ 3km away from the Matt and will be kept there. Devotees will take the holy blessings @ Sri Ramalinga and in the evening there will be lot of Cultural and Dance programs performed by various artistes. In the evening pallaki will head for Kshetra Darshana and return back to the Matt only the next day.. These are the just glimpses of the Gr8 Naganatha Temple.
