*BEAUTIFYING YOUR SPIRIT .*

Wednesday, March 6th .
Pastor Chris

_*When Moses came down from Mount Sinai carrying the two Tablets of The Testimony, he didn’t know that the skin of his face glowed because he had been speaking with GOD (Exodus 34:29 MSG).*_

Man is a spirit being and not a physical body. Many, however, have put a premium on their outward appearance; they go through rigorous exercises and dietary plans; some even go through severe surgical procedures to maintain or enhance their physical looks.

But you see, don’t be carried away by all the praise you might receive for your outward appearance. The truth is, there’s no glory like that of your spirit. That should be your dream: beautifying your human spirit!

1 Peter 1:23 says, _*“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”*_ Thus, you’re born of the Word, and contemplating the Word should be a priority. When you study the Word or receive its ministry in teaching or preaching, it glorifies or beautifies your spirit. You’re strengthened, energized and invigorated for greater works.

Moses had an experience recorded in Exodus 34. He had spent so much time (forty days and forty nights) with God on Mount Sinai, receiving the Ten Commandments. When he came down from the mountain, his face radiated the glory of God, such that everyone who saw him couldn’t look at him.

Moses had to wear a veil to shroud the glory that had rubbed off on him (Exodus 34:29-33). That’s the effect of deep contemplation and meditation on the Word. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, _*“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”*_

The Word of God is where the glory is, and the New Covenant is far more glorious. As you receive the Word, at your quiet time, devotion, or church services, the intensity of the glory in your life is increased; you’re enraptured, beautified, and enveloped by His glory.

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, thank you for your Word, which causes your glory to shine forth with much intensity in my life and in all that I’m connected with. As I meditate on the Word of faith, I experience victory, divine health, and blessings! My life is an expression of your supernatural grace, glory, perfection, beauty and righteousness. I’m continually metamorphosed from glory to glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *1 Timothy 4:15* Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. *||*

*||* *John 1:14* And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. *||*

*||* *2 Timothy 3:15-16* And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: *||*

*HIS BODY AND BLOOD .*

Sunday, March 3rd .
Pastor Chris

_*The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? (1 Corinthians 10:16).*_

Being born again, not only is it your right to take the Holy Communion, it’s also compulsory, for it’s a participation in the body and blood of Christ. As seen in our opening verse, the cup of blessing is actually the Communion of the blood of Christ. Likewise, the bread, which we break, is the Communion of His body. This means we’re one with the Lord. His victory is our victory; His ability is our ability. All that He is, He is in us, and we’re complete in Him. Amazing reality!

These are our affirmations as we partake of the Communion; we’re to be mindful of our oneness with the Lord, and our triumphant life in Him. “What if a Christian has done something wrong, can he still partake of the Communion?” Yes. He should repent of his sin immediately and not miss the opportunity to partake of the Communion, because the blood of Jesus was shed for the remission of sin; the Communion is a demonstration of faith in the blood of Christ for redemption.

“But I thought the Bible says, ‘Don’t take the Communion when you’re not worthy; meaning when you’ve sinned?’” someone queries. That’s not what the Bible says. The Spirit of God, writing through Paul to the Corinthian Church, didn’t say, “whosoever shall eat this bread or drink this cup, being unworthy.” Being unworthy means the person isn’t qualified to eat the bread or drink the cup; every Christian qualifies to take the Communion. What the Bible says is that it shouldn’t be done “unworthily,” and there, the Apostle Paul was addressing the impropriety reported of the Christians in Corinth as they took the Communion (1 Corinthians 11:18-34).

Taking the Communion is something that must be done reverently and meditatively; in a heart of worship and holiness, knowing the significance of the body and blood of Christ—the fellowship and eternal redemption it provides. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, I thank you for the body of Jesus that was broken for me, and His blood that was shed for the remission of my sins. I’m forever grateful for my oneness with you, and for your glory in my life. Now I have a brand new life of righteousness, with dominion over sin, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *1 Corinthians 11:27-30* Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink [this] cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of [that] bread, and drink of [that] cup. 29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30 For this cause many [are] weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. *||*

*||* *Matthew 26:26-28* And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed [it], and brake [it], and gave [it] to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body. 27 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave [it] to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; 28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. *||*

*YOU’VE GOT TO KNOW HIM .*

Saturday, March 2nd .
Pastor Chris

_*According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3).*_

Ephesians 1:3 says God has blessed you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus; and 1 Corinthians 3:21 declares, _*“…all things are yours.”*_ God has given you everything you require to live victoriously and be a success in life. Meanwhile, in our opening verse, we observe a very important element: it’s about your “knowledge of Him.” There’s nothing you could ever need or desire for a godly life that’s not already yours in Christ. However, making it a reality in your life is a function of your knowledge of Him.

This kind of knowledge is full, exact knowledge—“epignosis” (Greek). God’s provisions aren’t going to come to pass in your life just because they’re written in the pages of the Bible; there’s a knowledge of Him that you must have; knowledge that unites the knower with that which is known; knowledge beyond the senses; specific knowledge, without assumptions.

Something so beautiful and powerful about knowing Him is that not only do you get to know, and are able to appropriate all that He’s given to you, you also get to know yourself. The more you know Him, the more you know you; He mirrors you. His Word mirrors you; in Him, you see you. You can never really know yourself as God knows you until you know Him. He made you; so only He knows what’s inside you and what you’re capable of; He alone can reveal you to you.

Therefore, the way to know Him, and get to discover you, is to study and meditate on the Word. 2 Corinthians 3:18 shows that the Word is the mirror of God that reveals your true description. It says, _*“…we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”*_ Search and discover who you really are, by looking into the mirror of God; by getting to know the Lord. The moment you get a hold of what the Word says is yours, or who the Word says you are, respond by affirming accordingly. That’s how you endorse His Word into manifestation in your life.

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, I thank you for giving me everything I need for a godly life of success and victory in this world. I’m full and loaded with blessings; and as I look into your Word, I’m transfigured; your glory is revealed in, and through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Philippians 3:10* That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; *||*

*LIFE AND IMMORTALITY THROUGH THE GOSPEL .*

Friday, March 1st .
Pastor Chris

_*...but be thou...made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel (2 Timothy 1:8-10).*_

In Christ Jesus, life and immortality have been unveiled. This life isn’t the mere human or biological life that’s depraved, degenerate and broken; it’s the life and nature of God that transcends the ordinary human life. In 1 John 5:13, the Apostle John writes, _*“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life….”*_ So, being a Christian means that the human life that’s subject to death, with which you came into this world, has been supplanted by the life and nature of God, making you immortal; divine.

Could this be real? “Is it true that death has been abolished?” some may ask. Well, the Word says so, and that settles it! Notice the tenses that Paul used; he said death has been abolished; that’s in the past tense; it’s not a promise; it’s been done already; you’re not an ordinary person; you’re divine. 2 Peter 1:4 says, _*“Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises; that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature….”*_

As a replacement for the abolished death-doomed human nature, He gave us divinity; He made us partakers of the divine nature; associates of the God-kind; comrades of the divine order. Let this understanding change the way you live; you’re a victor in this life. You have the life of God in you.

As you walk in Christ and preach the Word of God, you’re participating in divinity, and unveiling life and immortality through the Gospel, so those who are lost can hear, receive, and become partakers of this glorious life as well. Hallelujah!

*PRAYER*

*Dear Father, I thank you for giving me life and immortality, making me a partaker of your divine nature. I declare that by the power of the Holy Spirit working in me, I’m effective in the divine experience and bearing fruits in every good work, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

*DON’T LET THEM PERISH WITHOUT GOD .*

Thursday, February 28th .
Pastor Chris

_*For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved (John 3:17).*_

Imagine that you have friends or relatives who aren’t born again or people who work with you who aren’t born again; don’t let them go to hell! You need to weep and cry for their salvation. In your intercessory prayers, you need to wail and travail for their souls, that the light of the glorious Gospel would shine in their hearts. You need to pray for them knowing the terror that awaits them, until you’re assured of their salvation. Don’t take this lightly.

Think about your uncles and aunts; think about your cousins, your spouse, your children; don’t let them perish without God! Don’t let them go to hell! Do you know what it is to be in the darkest place for eternity, and never have hope of coming out?

Your presence in your home, school, workplace, neighbourhood, estate, city or country isn’t for a game. It isn’t just for you to be happy and celebrate that you’re born again; you must be concerned for the salvation of others. You’re a saviour to your world. You were sent to save others.

You’re on earth and alive to do the Lord’s work; to win more and more people to Jesus Christ. We’ve got to sn**ch them out of hell; some of them are already so close, and if we don’t rescue them, they’ll slip right into it. We must not let them!

The Lord has committed to us the ministry of reconciliation, and faithfully, we must keep carrying out our ministry, turning men from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God.

*PRAYER*

*Blessed Father, I thank you for making the Gospel heard and received in my world, and your righteousness established in the hearts of men. Indeed, the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ. The Lord reigns forever and ever. Amen.*

*FURTHER STUDY:* *||* *Matthew 24:14* And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. *||*

*||* *2 Peter 3:8-10* But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day [is] with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. *||*

HOLY AND WITHOUT BLAME.

Monday, February 11th .
Pastor Chris

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love (Ephesians 1:4).

Hebrews 3:1 says, “Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus.” Did you notice that we’re called “holy brethren”? Only God can say that! Your neighbours, friends, family members, etc., may not consider you holy; but God says you are, and His verdict is what counts. Aren’t you glad about that?

You’re not holy or righteous because of your actions, but because you live in the presence of God, and have His nature of righteousness. He gave you His righteousness as a gift: “…they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness…” (Romans 5:17). Before God, you’re justified; there’s no record of sin or wrongdoing against your name. That’s the reason He says you’re without blame.

Sadly, some haven’t been able to put away self-blame. They’ve rendered their faith and life ineffective due to excessive self-recrimination; that’s wrong. Your conscience isn’t supposed to keep you in bo***ge of guilt and condemnation, because Jesus, the Son of God, died in your place. He paid the ultimate price for your sins. The Bible says in Acts 13:38-39, "…by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.”

Do you know what it means to be justified? It means to be declared righteous; to be acquitted; the charges against you were dismissed because you never sinned. How is that possible? It’s because Jesus took your place, and now you’re in His place. So how does God see you now? He sees you holy, sanctified, and separated unto Him. Hallelujah.

Until and unless you realise that God has made you holy, you’ll never live a holy life. You can only live the life that God has given you. A dog lives the dog life; humans live the human life, because they have the life of human beings. Likewise, because we have the life and nature of God, we’re holy and can live holy. Blessed be God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for presenting me faultless, perfect, holy, unblameable, and irreproveable before you in love! Thank you for the death, burial and glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, by which I now stand forever justified in your presence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY: Colossians 1:21-22 AMPC And although you at one time were estranged and alienated from Him and were of hostile attitude of mind in your wicked activities, 22 Yet now has [Christ, the Messiah] reconciled [you to God] in the body of His flesh through death, in order to present you holy and faultless and irreproachable in His [the Father’s] presence.

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome

PREACH HIS LOVE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS.

…Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth (Romans 14:22).

Some people like it when a message of condemnation and judgement is preached. They prefer to hear more about sin and its judgement. But fear of judgement has never produced righteousness or the love of God. Gospel means good news, and that’s what Jesus sent us to preach and teach. He said, “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).

It’s not enough that you’re preaching a message about Jesus Christ; the message must be about His liquid love, the remission of sin that He made possible, and His gift of righteousness to everyone who believes. Don’t preach judgment or condemnation; preach His love and righteousness.

Some don’t like it when we preach righteousness and the love of Christ to sinners. What they don’t realise is that righteousness is actually a gift to the sinner, and not essentially to the Christian, because the Christian is born righteous. The sinner, upon hearing and believing the message of the Gospel, receives eternal life, which comes bundled with the gift of righteousness.

When we preach righteousness, people embrace righteousness, and once they do, they start living right. That’s because righteousness is a nature; it’s the nature of God that’s imparted to the spirit of the one who’s born again, granting him the ability to live right. Right living is a product of righteousness. No one can live right, who isn’t first made righteous; and only God gives righteousness; it’s not something you obtain by your own good works.

This is why we preach the Gospel, for only through the Gospel is the righteousness of God unveiled. Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ…For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith...” (Romans 1:16-17). Did you notice that?

So, if we don’t preach the true Gospel, people will never understand righteousness, and that would defeat the purpose for which Christ came to the world. He came to make men sons of God; He came to make sinners righteous. He came to make us one with the Father, and have His life and nature of righteousness. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

Loving Father, thank you for your liquid love so lavishly poured out on all; the remission of sin made possible by the vicarious sacrifice of Jesus, and the resultant gift of righteousness to everyone who believes. Today, your righteousness is unveiled and embraced as many hear and receive the Gospel all around the world. Many are saved, healed, and delivered, and darkness is dispelled, to the glory and praise of your Name. Hallelujah!

FURTHER STUDY:
Romans 6:13-14
Neither yield ye your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he hath made him [to be] sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

TRANSFORMATION BY THE WORD .

Thursday, February 7th .
Pastor Chris

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind… (Romans 12:2).

If you’re going to experience unending victories, and progress in the divine walk, you must think, talk, and act in sync with God’s Word. God’s Word has the ability to produce in you and for you the message that it bears. When you think on the Word as our opening verse admonishes, ideas and pictures of success, endless possibilities and victory will flood your mind.

Remember, you’re the character of your thoughts; so, when your thoughts are in sync with the provisions of the Gospel, your life will be a reflection of the same. The Word is God’s power to transform your life. When you hear the Word, there must be a response from you, and it’s that response that brings about the transformation. This transformation is something you can, and should experience frequently.

Every time you hear the Word, it’s an opportunity for you to be transformed from glory to glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory….” Your glory increases as you study and meditate on the Word, because the glory of God is in His Word. Your atmosphere becomes conditioned in your favour, as you speak in agreement with God.

Keep speaking the Word, irrespective of the challenges you might be facing, and before long, the glory of the Word would be revealed in that situation. The glory of the Word is “excellent glory”; it repels darkness. Hallelujah! That’s the glory that’s revealed as you pray in the Spirit, speaking God’s Word. Sometimes, while you’re yet affirming the Word, you could literally relate with success, victory and dominion in your spirit. That’s because they’re inherent in your spirit, and by speaking the Word, you cause them to manifest.

If you’d let the Word, which is all-powerful, quick and sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12), gain the mastery in your life, you’ll live an extraordinary life. You’d be indomitable, triumphing over circumstances. Have a mindset of the Word; have the Word as your focus! That way, your whole life will be in sync with the perfect will of God for you.

PRAYER

I experience the glory of God in my ministry, health, job, family and finances, because the Word is my life, piloting me from glory to glory. My mind is renewed and inundated with thoughts of righteousness, progress, possibilities, victory, excellence, success, and abundance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so [is] he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart [is] not with thee.

Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

Hebrews 4:12 AMPC For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the
breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome DSc. D.D

HIS AWE-INSPIRING LIGHT.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him WHO HATH CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELLOUS LIGHT (1 Peter 2:9).

The Bible lets us know that God is “Light” and the “father of lights”; therefore, we’re children of Light, dwelling in the light. That’s what we read in the latter part of our opening text above; we’ve been brought into God’s marvellous light; that’s your location in the realm of the spirit; you live in His awe-inspiring light. Therefore, there’s no darkness about your life.

It readily brings to mind the words of Jesus in John 8:12; He said, “…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” We have, His Word, for His Word is light (Psalm 119:105). Walking in His light means your mindset and perceptions are a result of the Word; you view and live your life only from the perspective of the Word!

God’s Word should be the only light by which, and with which you see. Under that light, you see only possibilities and victories; you see the glory of God; and because you see it, you talk and walk accordingly. When you agree with what the Word says about you, and then affirm accordingly, you’re walking in God’s light. God gave you His Word to light up your path, so there wouldn’t be darkness or uncertainties as you journey through life.

Colossians 1:12-13 says: “Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.” You’ve been brought out of darkness, and translated into the Kingdom of God’s love-Son, where there’s no darkness, sin, death, evil and corrupting influences of the world. You’ve been catapulted to the gracious and glorious liberty of the sons of God. See and live from that realm; it’s the realm of victory, dominion, peace and joy evermore.

PRAYER

Blessed be God! He brought me out of darkness, and the miry clay, and set my feet upon the Rock to stay; that Rock holds me firm and fortified against the pressures and adversities of life. I dwell in the light wherein there’s no darkness or pain, but victory, dominion, and glory forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
