By this update, we wish to express our appreciation and thanks for your support for our Jama Masjid Lougain. May Allah reward you plentiful and bless you and your family for helping in His cause. Since the Masjid was being established in the year 1902 or 1321Hijri and about 113 years old and ancient building with many memories of that times. Now due to less maintenances and increasing of recurring expenditure, we have decided to replaced the existing one with reconstructing the new two storied building with three dome and one minar of 100 feet with modern amenities with bigger about 10000 square feet space for betterment of devotees as well as for the prestigious of our culture. Jama Masjid also runs a Madarsa named Manirul Uloom Lougain in which regular arabic classes as well as Hifz classes are being conducted with strength of 400 students with free food and accommodation for the poor students. FACILITY OF NIKAAH CEREMONY
The Nikah is a sacred and special ceremony that binds a man and a woman together as husband and wife under the eyes of Allah. It is a simple process that involves a contract between the husband and wife. Once agreeing to the contract, both parties must do their utmost to fulfill their duties to each other, to Allah(swt) and to their kith and kin. The laws in many Muslims countries these days requires the nikah to be conducted by a recognized official, be it an imam. This is to safeguard the legal validity of the marriage and to make sure the proper paperwork is issued. For Nikah to be valid, there are some conditions that must be fulfilled. The Woman has to agree to the marriage, Some practices call for the woman to be asked if she agrees to marry a certain man. She should say "yes" or keep silent, which implies agreement. A woman cannot be forced to marry anyone. Guardian - A nikah is not valid without the consent of the male guardian, or wallee. This is usually the woman's father, or it can be male mahram. If no wallee can be found, the imam can act on the woman's behalf. Two witnesses - Two trustworthy witnesses, generally males, must attest to the nikah. Some Muslim societies require two witnesses each from the groom and bride's sides in addition to to unrelated witnesses, making six in all. Mahr – the groom’s side must offer a certain amount of mahr, or dowry. This could be in the form of cash, jewelry or other items of value, as long as the bridge agrees. The mahr does not have to be physically handed over to the woman at this stage but a contract of intent must be sealed for the marriage to be valid.. FUNERAL SERVICES
Funeral in Islam (called Janazah in Arabic) follow fairly specific rights, though they are subject to regional interpretation and variation in customs. In all cases, sharia(Islamic religious law) calls for burial of the body, preceded by a simple ritual involving bathing and shrouding the body, followed by salah (prayer). Try to attend the Prayer of the deceased even if you not know him/her. Remember that the Janazah Prayer is a standing only prayer.Like any other prayer, this prayer is also facing the Qibla. Salatul Janazah is Fard Kafayah, that is, if one prays the prayer than all are bareeuz simma [free of the resposnibility] otherwise all those who received the news but did not come are sinners. DONATE TO JAMA MASJID LOUGAIN
Hadith: The Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu alayhi wa salaam) said:
"Whoever builds a mosque with the intention of seeking Allah's pleasure, Allah will build for him a place in Paradise."Sahih Al-Bukhari, Hadith #441 |Vol.1| Agreed Upon
Whatever you give or spend in the way of Allah will be returned to you in manifold increase. Allah, the most Bountiful and the most Loving, commends:
Lend unto God a goodly loan. Whatever good you shall forward on your behalf you shall find it with God, as better and richer in reward. [al-Muzzammil 73: 20.]
Be generous, therefore, for whatever you spend on yourself is only for your temporary sustenance while whatever you spend in the way of Allah is an investment in your future for which will provide everlasting sustenance. Seek to invest in others for your own benefit with whatever Allah has endowed you. Allah says: Of their wealth take alms to purify and sanctify them. [at-Tawba 9:103.] Furthermore: He that spends his possessions [on others] so that he might grow in purity. [al-Layl 92: 18.]
Love for worldly possessions is primarily a disease of the heart while the purpose of sadaqa is to act as its antidote or cure. Sadaqa serves as a form of dhikr to remind us that all forms of wealth come from Allah and what we possess is .simply a short term loan for which we will be held accountable when our contract expires.
