Christ became obedient to the point of death,
even death on a cross.
Because of this, God greatly exalted him
and bestowed on him the name which is above every other name.
Philippians 2:8-9

We may say that on the first Good Friday afternoon was completed that great act by which light conquered darkness and goodness conquered sin. That is the wonder of our Savior’s crucifixion.

Jesus drew the sinful expectations of the world unto himself & Absorbed them & bore them on the cross &
His death was the death of sin itself.

When the Messiah came to Jerusalem, the children waved olive branches to greet their King. O son of David, You came to save mankind, the Son of David is his lord and son of God. Hosanna in the highest and may the earth rejoice and be glad, blessed is the lord.
