đźš“ South Tel Aviv | Arrest Following Violent Assault

A suspect, a foreign national from Congo, was arrested by Tel Aviv officers after brutally attacking a man in south Tel Aviv.

The incident occurred on January 12, when the suspect allegedly damaged the victim’s vehicle and, after the victim contacted police, struck him on the head with a glass beer bottle, causing multiple injuries. Officers arrived quickly, located the injured victim, and arrested the suspect at the scene.

Following the investigation, the Tel Aviv District Prosecution Unit filed a serious indictment against the suspect on charges including aggravated assault with a weapon and malicious damage to property, along with a request for detention until the end of proceedings.

Bus Plows Into Crowd Near Komemiyut, Killing Yeshiva Student; Chilling On-Board Footage Captures Panic

New footage filmed from inside a bus captures passengers screaming, “The driver is crazy—what is he doing?” seconds before the deadly impact near Komemiyut.

The victim, Naftali Kramer, a Satmar yeshiva student from Jerusalem, was fatally struck near the entrance to Moshav Komemiyut, as a bus pushed through an area where demonstrators were present.

MDA teams arrived to find the teen with severe head trauma and no signs of life, and pronounced him dead at the scene on Route 3533.

Police say that after reviewing the footage with the prosecution, they are not currently treating it as an intentional ramming—investigators suspect offenses including reckless homicide/negligent death and endangering road users; the driver (in his 20s) was brought to a remand hearing and released under restrictive conditions.

The crash occurred amid protests tied to the controversy over autopsies in a separate Jerusalem daycare tragedy—fueling anger, claims of deliberate harm from Haredi leaders, and calls for a full, transparent investigation into the driver’s conduct and the decision-making that followed.
