MAHA-PARINIRVANA CEREMONY
OF H.H. The 14TH KUNZIG SHAMARPA RINPOCHE,

COMMEMORATION of the Maha-Parinirvana Ceremony of 14th Kunzig Shamarpa Rinpoche at Zimchung Monastery, Rumtek, Sikkim (Sacred Land at Beyul Demojong) from 9th to 15th day, 4th Month of Tibetan Buddhist Lunar Calendar, corresponding to the modern era of 17th May to 23rd May, 2024.
This year we are commemorating the 10th Maha-Parinirvana Ceremony of H.H. The 14th Kunzig Shamarpa Rinpoche collaboration with monks of Nedo Chidu Chokhorling and Lay devotees of Rumtek Monastery in grand manner by performing Dorsem Cho-Kha and additionally, it is an auspicious coincidence to recite Vajrasattva mantra and The Sutra in Three Sections in this auspicious event.

**Celebration of the 41st Birthday of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje**

Date: Monday, 6th May 2024
Time: 6.30 am
Location: Main Shrine Hall, Zimchung Monastery, High Sky Limbutar, Rumtek

1. **Invocation of Blessings:**
- "The Prayer of the (Sang)smoke puja and Eight Noble Auspicious Ones" to commence the celebration, invoking blessings for His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa.

2. **Mandala Offering:**
- Offering of a mandala (ku-sung-thuk mandala) along with representations of body, speech, mind and white scarf (Khada)in front of a sacred image of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa.

3. **Tea Ceremony and Sweet Rice:**
- Special tea and celebratory sweet rice will be served to all attendees following the completion of the mandala offering.

4. **Birthday Cake Offering:**
- A traditional birthday cake offering ceremony to honor His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa.

5. **Lunch:**
- Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., allowing attendees to share in fellowship and celebration.

6. **Special Mahakala Puja:**
- Monks of Zimchung Monastery will perform a Special Mahakala Puja for the long life of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje and to clear away obstacles.

This program offers a blend of spiritual rituals, communal sharing, and heartfelt prayers, reflecting the deep reverence and devotion for His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje.
