Marriage According to the Bible ❤️
Marriage is not just a union of two people—it is a sacred covenant designed by God. From the very beginning, in Genesis 2:24, it is written, “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” This shows that marriage is about unity, commitment, and becoming one in spirit, purpose, and life.
The Bible teaches that love is the foundation of a strong marriage. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, love is described as patient, kind, not proud, not selfish, and always protecting, trusting, hoping, and persevering. This kind of love goes beyond feelings—it is a daily choice and a lifelong commitment.
Marriage also reflects a deeper spiritual meaning. In Ephesians 5:25, husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church, with sacrifice and selflessness. Likewise, both partners are called to respect, support, and serve one another in humility and faith.
A biblical marriage is built on faith, forgiveness, and mutual understanding. It is not about perfection, but about growing together, standing by each other in every season, and keeping God at the center.
