On the blessed occasion of World Environment Day 2026, the Agape Sanyukta Christian Sangh led a meaningful Mass Plantation Drive, bringing together believers from 13 churches in a united effort to care for God’s creation.
Inspired by the biblical call to stewardship, participants gathered to plant trees as a symbol of faith, hope, and responsibility toward the earth that God has entrusted to mankind. The event reflected the truth of Genesis 2:15, where the Lord commanded humanity “to work and take care of” His creation.
Church leaders, youth, and congregation members joined hands in this noble mission, demonstrating Christian unity and a shared commitment to preserving the environment for future generations. The program was further strengthened by the gracious support of the PWD, Government of Sikkim, whose cooperation contributed to the success of the initiative.
As saplings were planted into the soil, participants were reminded that caring for the earth is not merely an environmental responsibility but also an act of obedience and gratitude to the Creator. Through this initiative, the Christian community affirmed its commitment to being faithful stewards of God’s gifts and to leaving a greener, healthier world for generations to come.
“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” — Psalm 24:1 🌱🌍
Together in faith, united in purpose, and rooted in Christ, we plant today for a better tomorrow. ✝️💚🌳
