FOOD FOR THE POOR. Every year it has become a tradition , as the committee of our lady of velankanni soko bhat organised a free lunch , first few road side poor people are ramdomly picked from the town and served first at the foot of our Lady velankanni followed by hundreds and thousands of villagers and devotees of all religion eat . And it keeps going till everyone is satisfied . Few take this good parcel for their bed ridden family members who cannot come personally . It’s a heart warming moment and we as members love to cook early this morning and also take part in serving everyone . This time the food was served on 12th sept . If at all you get a chance come to witness this holy lunch . Usually organised few days after the feast .

Today is the Annual feeding of poor n needy day.....Our Lady of Vailankanni chapel committee cook a buffet with the money from the offerings for the poor.
This has been a ritual for many years now.....after the needy unprivileged r satisfied , parishner included with parish priest and many from other neighbouring villages with their kids come in faith to eat from the blessed food .....
Here there is no limit or class or status.....people from all religion come and eat here....

We are busy preparing for the occasion....
Food will be served at 12pm
If u get a chance do come to witness
