ਧੰਨ ਬਾਬਾ ਫਤਹਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ Guru Gobind Singh Ji left Anandpur Sahib in 1705 on being given a promise of safe exit by Mughals.

When Guru Ji with his family and Sikhs reached near Sirsa River, it was swollen with rain water. The Mughal forces followed Sikhs and attacked them on the banks of River Sirsa. Many Sikhs won martyrdom. Guru Ji with his family and few Sikhs succeeded in crossing River, but

members of Guru Ji's family got scattered in the turmoil. Guru Ji with two elder sons and some Sikhs reached

Chamkaur Sahib (in District Rupnagar). Guru Ji's Mother Mata Gujri Ji and two younger sons Zoravar Singh Ji and Fateh Singh Ji, aged 9 and 7 respectively, were taken by their family cook named Gangu to his Village Kheri. Here Gangu betrayed them and sent them to Jam Khan and Man Khan of Morinda. They sent them to Sirhind where they were consigned to the Thanda Burj (a cold tower of the Fort). Nawab of Sirhind Wazir Khan asked Zoravar Singh and Fateh Singh to become Muslims, otherwise they will be killed. Both of them refused to embrace Islam. Finally a death sentence was awarded. Nawab of Malerkotla, Sher Mohammad Khan protested against that order, but after two days both sons of Guru Ji were bricked alive. Next Day their bodies were taken out and thrown on the backside.
