1977 ല്‍ അതൃുന്നത കര്‍ദ്ദിനാള്‍ ജോസഫ്‌ പറേക്കാട്ടില്‍ പിതാവില്‍ നിന്ന് ഈ പള്ളി പണിയുന്നതിനുള്ള അനുമതി ലഭിക്കുകയും 1979 മെയ്‌ 9 ന് സ്ഥലം വാങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്തു. 1980 മാര്‍ച്ച്‌ 2 ന് ജോസഫ്‌ ഭരണികുളങ്ങര അച്ഛന്‍റെ കാലത്ത് മാര്‍ സെബാസ്റ്റ്യന്‍ മങ്കുഴിക്കരി പിതാവ് ശിലസ്ഥാപനം നടത്തുകയും ബഹു. തോമസ്‌ പുതിയവെളിയച്ചന്‍റെ കാലത്ത് 1981 പാറേക്കാട്ടില്‍ പിതാവ് ഈ ദേവാലയം ആശിര്‍വദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു
