Malda Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama This is the official page of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Malda.

The tidal wave of spirituality created by Swami Vivekananda's victory at the Parliament of Religions and the superhuman life of Sri Ramakrishna affected Malda also. One of Sri Ramakrishna's disciples Swami Premananda, came to Malda in 1914 on the occasion of Sri Ramakrishna's Birthday celebration. The Malda people took to the teaching of Karma-yoga or Seva-yoga mentioned in Swami Premananda ji's l

ecture with full dedication and respect. The seed sowed by him sprouted as a plant in 1924 when the Malda Ashrama came into existence.
