PBCA SERENITY HOME COMPLETES ONE YEAR
PBCA Serenity Home, a detoxification and rehabilitation centre established by Phom Lempong, completes one year on September 11, 2024. A special one-year anniversary thanksgiving program was held at Serenity Home Chapel Hall.
In the program, Shri. N. Tialemba Phom, Executive Secretary, PBCA, shared the history of Serenity Home's inception. He acknowledged all the Phom Churches, NGOs, individuals, and the district administration who have come forward to share the responsibility and assisted in various capacities.
Shri. W. Manpai Phom, NCS, Deputy Commissioner, Longleng, in his short speech, expressed his gratitude to PBCA for taking up this noble venture. He highlighted the prevalence of drug abuse as a significant chronic issue in Longleng district and pledged collective efforts to combat war against drugs. He encouraged the clients at Serenity Home to think and formulate post-rehabilitation plans in advance to ensure that they are successfully reintegrated into society and live a productive life.
Shri. Hiatwa Iralu, NPS, Additional SP, Longleng, and Shri. Meilu, Vice President, PPC, also delivered succinct speeches at the anniversary program.
Rev. K. Simon, Evangelist, PBCA, led a thanksgiving prayer.
The program was chaired by Shri. Philip Nyam, the in-charge of Serenity Home, with an invocation offered by Shri. Manthai, the Chaplain at Serenity Home. Additionally, the clients presented a special Nagamese song.
Over the course of 12 months, a total of 66 clients were admitted at the PBCA Serenity Home for rehabilitation.
