Big Hanuman statue is situated at Sri Hanuman Mandir; Bou Bazar, Bidyapara locality of Dhubri city belongs to Dhubri district in the Indian state of Assam.
Dhubri is situated about 277 kms towards west from the state capital city Dispur. It is the headquarter of Dhubri district.
The temple is although small and big idol of Lord Bajrang Bali is situated in front shed. People come to have darshan and take blessings of God Hanuman.
Here, sculpture is depicted as lifting Dronachal parvat in left hand and holding mace on right shoulder flying towards Lanka to cure Lakshman who was seriously wounded by Amogh Shakti thrown by Meghanad during Ram-Ravan war in Lanka.
श्रीहनुमानजीकी आरती (गोस्वामी तुलसीदास कृत):-
लक्ष्मण मूर्छित पड़े सकारे I आनि सजीवन प्रान उबारे II
भावार्थ:- श्रीलक्ष्मणजी युद्धमें मूर्छित होकर पड़े थे (चारों ओर शोकका कोलाहल व्याप्त था), तब हनुमानजीने शीध्र ही संजीवनी बूटी लाकर उनके प्राणोंकी रक्षा की II
