It was the year 1993 when unfortunately three well-wishers of Sabuj Sangha had passed away.

One of them being our beloved Bhaiya da who was also the secretary of Sabuj Sangha that year. He was a greatly loved social worker. His death cast a shadow of mourning all over Dhubri leading to a shutdown of all Puja related activities. Later, a meeting was convened to discuss the future course of action where it was unanimously decided to build the Mysore Palace as the puja pandal decoration as per the wishes of Bhaiya da.

In consonance with his wishes, all the members of the club united boldly and conducted the entire puja programme very successfully. The decoration (Mysore Palace) was made by Dudul Baine to perfection and the Dhubrians were mesmerised by its beauty.

Sabuj Sangha Durga Puja Committee regardest as one of the oldest Community Pujas in Dhubri was Established in1951 and is located at Raja P.C.Barua Maidan, Ward No 1 & 2 of Dhubri Town.
