પદ્મપુરાણ અનુસાર કશ્યપ ઋષિ દ્વારા સ્થાપિત ત્રિવેણી સંગમ ના કિનારે આશરે ૧૦૦૦૦ વર્ષ જૂનું સૂર્યમંદિર આવેલું છે.
જ્યાં સૂર્યનું પ્રથમ કિરણ મૂર્તિ ઉપર પડે છે.
વિશ્વનું પહેલું સૂર્યમંદિર કે જ્યાં સૂર્ય ભગવાન બાલ્ય સ્વરૂપે બિરાજમાન છે.
