He who knows the Bliss of Truth/Self, from which all words return without reaching It, together with the mind, is no more afraid of anything.

I think not that I know It ( the Truth/Self) well (as an object) & yet I know that It is not unknown to me( as the very subject).

Whoever amongst us comprehends It, both as the not-known (as object) and as the known (as subject), he comprehends It.

परीक्ष्य लोकान्‌ कर्मचितान्‌ ब्राह्मणो निर्वेदमायान्नास्त्यकृतः कृतेन।
तद्विज्ञानार्थं स गुरुमेवाभिगच्छेत्‌ समित्पाणिः श्रोत्रियं ब्रह्मनिष्ठम्‌ ॥

Having examined the worlds gained by karmas, the seeker becomes dispassionate on realizing that the ETERNAL cannot be gained by finite actions. In order to know THAT( ETERNAL TRUTH), he should approach the Guru, who is well versed in the Scriptures and well established in the Truth, with sacrificial fuel in hand.

Scriptural knowledge is limitless. Our life-span is very short and obstacles are many. Just as swans (haṃsas) [separate and take] milk from the midst of water, we too should take only the essence and leave the non-essential.
