Way back in 1975-76 period, a few Malayalees initiated occasional gatherings for Lord Ayyappa prayers at homes spread over here and there in Dewas. That initiative, later on, came to building a Temple of Lord Ayyappa. Consecration and Prana Prathishta of Lord Ayyappa and Lord Ganesha at Dewas Ayyappa Temple was performed by Brahmashri (Late) Sreeranjan Bhattathiri, Adimuttathumadom, Budhanoor, Kerala on 24th October 1995. Same day in 2007 Brahmashri Girija Shankar Bhattathiri, Adimuttathumadom, Budhanoor, Kerala graced the occasion by performing Pranaprathishta of Devi Vana Durga and Naga Devata. The day "24th of October" is marked as "Prana Pratishta day" and since then every year "Prana Pratishta Day" is celebrated religiously.
