A woman’s veil is not a prop, not a symbol for political display, and never something a man has the right to touch.

What we are witnessing today is not an isolated incident — it reflects a larger pattern of discrimination, especially against Muslims in India during the BJP era, and now sadly echoed by others as well.

Questioning Muslim identity

Targeting Muslim clothing and practices

Normalising disrespect in public spaces

This atmosphere has made such behaviour feel acceptable to those in power — and that is deeply alarming.

India’s Constitution promises equality, dignity, and freedom of religion.
Yet Muslim women are repeatedly made to feel exposed, targeted, and unsafe for simply practicing their faith.

Whether it is a niqab, hijab, or ghoonghat, the principle is the same: 👉 No consent = no touch.

Political power does not grant moral authority over a woman’s body or beliefs.

This demands a public apology — clearly, openly, and without excuses.

Silence today becomes precedent tomorrow.

Respect women.
Respect consent.
Respect dignity.
Respect minority in India 🇮🇳.

The best example, whose character was the Qur’an itself.
