Mrs Mary Varughese (92) went to be with the Lord at around 2 am this morning (15 October 2025, Wednesday). She, along with her husband Thomas Varughese, were active members of the Green Park Free Church since the early 1970s. Mary aunty was an active member of the women's fellowship and taught Sunday School. The Varugheses were also pioneer missionary educators in Nepal, starting in 1961, soon after their marriage. They continued their work in Nepal until 2002, with regular visits until 2021. Aunty was a prayer warrior and her passion for Christ and Christian conviction touched numerous lives in Nepal and India and across the world. She is survived by her husband Thomas Varughese and their four children (Thomas, Ninan, George and Sarah), 15 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Funeral details will be shared later.
