*NOTICE*
*UTTARA GURUVAYURAPPAN TEMPLE will be opened for devotees from 5:30 AM on 1st July onwards.*
*Devotees shall, invariably, abide by the protocol guidelines as enunciated hereunder:*
*1. As per Government directions, persons above 65 years of age, persons with co-morbidities, pregnant women and children below 10 years are advised to stay at home.*
*2. Footwear to be preferably taken off inside own vehicle. If needed they should be kept in separate slots for each individual/family by the persons themselves. Dhothi will not be provided from Temple office to devotees who are coming to Temple in Bermuda or knee length dress.*
*3. Wearing of face masks is mandatory. DEVOTEES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INSIDE TEMPLE WITHOUT MASKS ON. They may also choose to wear hand gloves, though not compulsory.*
*4. Sanitize hands using liquid soap and sanitizer kept at entry gates at the East & West sides of Temple. Devotees shall be subjected to infra-red thermal scanning for temperature at the gate.*
*5. While entry to Temple from West Nada will be through main gate the exit will be through side gate in front of Gita Book Centre.*
*6. Body contacts, even involuntarily and shake hands be strictly avoided while greeting each other.*
*7. Devotees must maintain a minimum distance of 6 feet in Temple compound. This social distancing norms should also be followed while offering prayers and performing Parikrama. Devotees will not be allowed inside Nalambalam for the time being.*
*8. Absolute silence be maintained within Chuttambalam and avoid engaging Priests & other Temple staff into conversation.*
*9. Devotees are requested not to touch anything inside Temple viz., thulasi thara, mani (bell), steps (sopana padi) etc. Devotees who sit and pray in Aanakottil should bring their own prayer mat (paaya) or piece of clothe, which may be taken back with them.*
*10. All types of Vazhipaud Prasadams like Archana, Pushpanjali, Palpayasam etc., will be distributed outside Nalambalam. The distribution of Chandanam, Flowers and Theertham in general by Temple Priests is, for the time being, kept on hold.*
*11. Offerings like Agarbathi, Ghee, Oil, Flowers, Silk etc will not be allowed from devotees for the time being.*
*12. Devotees are requested not to aimlessly loiter around the Temple. They may leave the Temple as soon as possible after Darshan to avoid crowding up as well as to maintain a good social order.*
*13. Those visiting Gita Book Centre for purchases, if any, may do so, while leaving the Temple after Darshan and keep social distancing here also.*
*14. Temple timings will be 5:30 AM to 11.00 AM and 6.00 PM to 9 PM during summer. Temple gate will be opened only by 5:15 in the morning and 5:45 in the evening and devotees are requested not to flout the timings for Darshan.*
